" Comets don't let championship slip away" "After watching a four-goal lead evaporate in a matter of minutes in the third period on Sunday, the Comets found enough resolution to knock off favored Orange in overtime, 6-5, to win their first Baron Cup II hockey tournament at Coyne Recreation Center in Brooklyn."

Congratulations and kudos Comets! It was Solon's first win in four games this season against the No. 2-seeded Lions (24-6), and it capped a week that saw the eighth-seeded Comets (11-13-1) defeat the top two seeds.

Sam Littman, senior star had two goals, freshman Zach Mandry had two, and freshman defenseman hadhad two also and the winning goal when he sent the puck home the rebound of a shot by Mandry.

Solon senior goaltender Kyle Petersonwas credited with 28 saves. Solon first year coach Mike Stepens gets probably his biggest win @ Solon. (understatement, the rest isn't)
