Final Comments:
OFFENSIVE OUTLOOK;
Strengths, Core of O. Line returns Starting QB and #2 returns, We are a much stronger TEAM.
Weaknesses - VERY Little depth at Offensive Line. Skill Positions are very thin in experience
DEFENSIVE OUTLOOK;
Strengths –MUCH Stronger and Veteran secondary
Weakness – TOTAL lack of depth – ZERO experience at Middle Linebacker
8th year of EOAC for the Clippers. Last year we made the move, returning to someone
that could challenge for EOAC Crown. We are not there yet BUT we are cautiously optimistic.
This league proved to be very balanced. Great Competition almost every week. Our ( the
Clippers)Traditional rivals- East Palestine, is rebuilding under Head Coach Mike Demster
Lisbon under new Head Coach Bill Meek will be VERY solid & will always be a challenge.
As Far as THE contenders in the EOAC, In My Opinion it’s a 2 horse race. Just like last year it will come down to Old friend and a fierce competitor D.J. Oglivie, whose return to Untied after guiding D-1 programs Boardman and Florida’s Lemon Bay to winning seasons has instantly transformed them in one of the strongest teams in the area and should be the favorite to win the League. Southern Local, under the Veteran Leadership of proven Winner Rich Wright has them looking not only to win the EOAC but make a run in the playoffs. Valley Christian, after a down year by Coach Hake Standards, returns a TON of talent. In 3 years he has made VC a real danger every Friday night and his players will always be ready to play. Leetonia under a “new” Head Coach Matt Altomare, is a great unknown but SHOULD improve. Wellsville will be the wild card this year. Totally unknown, I haven’t heard much from that end of the county and I Think no one knows what to expect.
