Checked the agenda from their board meeting Monday night and the only basketball thing on there was that they accepted Rockwell's resignation so it doesn't appear anything was finalized up to that point.
 
I believe Madeira had interviews late last week and early this week. I'm not sure if they are making decisions based on 1 interview or if they are bringing people back for a 2nd round.
 
2 Madeira community members interviewed(Kellet and the old Indian Hill coach, I don't recall his name). I'm not sure if any current assistants interviewed(2 of them are also current parents). Along with the CHCA coach. Sounds like they are top 3.

Rockwell is a good person. But a place like Madeira makes it hard for a community member to be the coach and do things the way that's best for the stakeholders; you end up having too many "friends" to please or keep happy.

Interesting to hear that 2 community members were conducting interviews. I know the AD is headed out but I didn't expect 2 people in the community to be the ones conducting an interview. I'm sure they have to be administrators of the school...right?

I meant "interviewed for the job". I don't know who ran the interviews

When coach Rockwell was hired there was input from community members with no connection to the district ….not sure about the interview process. Kellet would be a good coach but being a resident could have the same issues Coach Rockwell had…I always liked Tim Burch…Rooks would also be a great fit 👍
 
According to tonights board agenda, Madeira will officially approve Kellett as Head coach and Chris O'Brien of St. Bernard Elmwood Place and previously Oyler as their A.D.

*they will vote on the approval. You can assume both will pass but you never know.
 
The Jackets played a TON of basketball over the weekend

they looked REALLY impressive!

Saturday they beat North Decatur , Madison and Monroe Central from Indiana.
Sunday they lost to Walton Verona (they were leading most of the game lost it in the last few mins)
Lost to Parke Heritage (who was 25-5 last year and finished top 5 in 2A State in Indiana) AND they only had 1 senior in the entire program last year
Wentz hit a 3 at the buzzer in that one that would have tied it but refs said his foot was on line.
