Canton McKinley Football 2024

This is going to get ugly.

Congratulations to Jackson for their impressive 20-7 win over The PUPS.

For the McKinley players, it is a sad thing to see how low a talented group of athletes can sink without proper coaching, guidance, and discipline. Without good coaches, talented players just can never reach their full potential.

I read in the local paper tonight how our Head Coach summarized McKinley's performance against Jackson as "EMBARRASSING". He then went on to BLAME everybody for failing each other.

In My Opinion, this coach is in over his head. He needs to accept responsibility for this failure. He needs to be held accountable so that he can eventually become the experienced and successful leader of this team.

Unfortunately, it appears THAT Day is still a very long way off.

Good luck to all. Go PUPS! sam

To be fair on what I posted above, here are fuller excerpts from the local paper by our Head Coach regarding the Jackson game:

"Embarrassing... Taking nothing away from Jackson, but it was us... It was us putting ourselves behind the chains and the penalties. It was us not executing. Us not picking up blitzers in certain situations, offensive line and running backs. We had key drops in crucial situations. We had turnovers. It was across the board... I don't think we were looking ahead (to next week)... But we just came out flat. It's hard to put your finger on."

If this team is having this many penalties at this point of the season is the whole coaching staff's fault how can the play be that sloppy
it seems to me that the coach has lost the locker room that is the main thing sad to see

Thats like the Browns wanting to build a dome stadium with the team they put on the field week after week Head coach says he will still be calling the plays an he an he alone decides who will start as QB that alone he should be fired

Sounds to me that it's a team of low IQ players football wise. That could be because of players just not being taught the basics of the game of football or the players inability to understand the game of football that's being taught to them. My guess is probably of both that of course is if the coaches know the basics which at this point I highly doubt.

I heard some college coaches were in the stands talking about how bad the coaching and plays were from McKinley.

Spyros I hear there was a situation with the players running through the band as they were marching in pre game. People are not happy.

Gentlemen, Yes, I am aware of the same thing... here is what the local paper wrote:

"The McKinley marching band was in the middle of performing SCRIPT OHIO when the football team took the field and nearly collided with band members. A traffic jam of football players, band members, and cheerleaders near the sidelines provided a hint for what kind of night it was going to be for the Bulldogs."

Sirs, one could ask: "What kind of mental low life must there be on a football team to do harm to one's own band members and school cheerleaders? Just how discipline lacking must one be to hurt your most loyal group of team supporters?

Most importantly, WHEN will an ADULT stand up and demand control of this deteriorating situation?

Good luck to all, sam
