Bo Basset to commit this Tuesday

Predictions?

Bo seems to want NIL $$$$ (nothing wrong with that), so I doubt it's Ohio State. Tom said that the absurd numbers being mentioned as being offered to Marcus Blaze were untrue and hinted that the sums would have caused issues with the existing team NIL structure. (I am reading that last part through tea leaves and could well be wrong.) If OSU was going to open the bank, I assume it would have been for Marcus as an in-state get and a Burnett-trained product. Yeah, I know that Bo may bring others (e.g., Jax), but it does not seem like Bo is part of a package.

So the usual suspects of PSU, Iowa, and Okie State seem like the safe bets. But maybe it's some smaller school with a rich alum willing to break the bank to build a new dynasty. I could see that challenge, the upfront money, and the ability to set team culture to fit his needs being appealing to Bo. Maybe his Dad will get a job on staff. Not sure that the big three would be willing to do that.

The kid grew up a huge Iowa fan, before his fame and NIL money went on this meteoric rise. I guess we will see how much that means in Tuesday.

Saw his interview on Flo. Intimated that finding a spot where some of his H.S. teammates could land was also a factor. I'd love to see the Bucks land Jax, but me guess is that he goes with Bo.

I think he ends up at Okie State - Jax that is, not Bo lol. Bo is going to Iowa.

Bo seems to really fit the Iowa mode. High attack rate n very high motor. Tends to be able to grind opponents down as well as out wrestle almost all of them!

Very few, if any, Buckeyes have the social media reach and wrestling "fame" Bassett does. His information is higher priority than almost any wrestler on the planet right now, and that is not exaggerating either. He has that big of a reach on social media, plus his overseas wrestling. I may think that Blaze and Duke are better wrestlers, and maybe even Jax too. None of those guys will have a bigger impact on the sport than Bo will, just from growing the sport, changing the game of recruiting, and NIL deals. He has given future wrestlers a blueprint on how to grow their own brand. Even if other wrestlers have better college resumes, he will make a larger lasting impact on wrestling and whatever program he chooses to go to.
