I didn't even know they had a team! Is this just one of those threads were we get on here and talk about ourself?


Alliance Tennis = Crapshoot! even though they'll prolly have the most success than any of the other spring teams!!!

Baseball went to the regionals last year thing2. and in 2004 they won the Stae title in track..but you knew that right...??

Tennis in Alliance has not been very good in Alliance and won't be this year neither...
 
I don't sprtsguy. I think that the baseball team will be pretty good. I also know that the track team has been down to state like 2-3 times. But I guess that I don't know that much about Alliance sports.
 
you guys are out of control. Alliance tennis has never been, and never will be a good program. Sorry, but no! I love the guys on the team, and the coach is a great guy...but reality must be faced, and the time so start is now.

.500 season at best
 
you guys don't need to come on here and say that. We know, real men play baseball in the spring but that's ok..you can think what you want!


bluepride: fluke? i think so! They won't win state again, and the Baseball team will give back Canton South what is rightfully theirs this year, we both know that.
 
Canton South tennis team will probaly have an amazing year in NBC and NET play.
-I'm glad everyone sees that Alliance tennis teams are sad at best. And don't bring baseball into this thread. We already know the two teams hate each other, and why dont we wait until the season to start talking trash.
 
As an Alliance student/fan/athlete...I think it's safe for me to say that the Tennis team will not be and never really will be all that good.

Fluke???? thing2...that was their 3rd state title in track..but of course you know that.....:hello:
 
As an Alliance fan we all know that the tennis program is a JOKE........it is just something to do to have fun.......they won't ever be good.......
 
i agree...coach pugh is out there just to have fun. There is no juggernaut or however you spell it. It's just a group of guys who need something to do in the spring who aren't fast enough to run track, and can't compete on he Baseball field.
 
The only reason Tennis or any other sport is a JOKE is that the athletes themselves don't believe. nor do they want to put in the work necessary to get to the next level.
as far as Alliance goes the kids need to toughen up a bit and quit crying. Alliance once had a great program under coach yost [(Boys:17-2 in '86, 13-4 in '88, and 9-5 in '90/Girls 11-5 in '79 and 13-9 in '89) oh by the way the boys team went from 0-19 in '05 to 7-13 last year.] and there's no reason why that can't happen again.....

As far as jokes go you should look at the entire student section lately....that's a joke. The boys' Basketball team is tied for first in the N.B.C. and you couldn't tell it by looking at the lack of support shown.up by 10-20 in the 3rd quarter and the entire student section(with 2-3 exceptions) sitting down not even watching the game....let alone cheering for their team.... if you ask me you need some of the kids to take a hint from some of the old farts like coaches Pugh and Hammerton.

what does the student section have anything to do with your tennis team?

Bottom line is...they give enough support being that the basketball teams hasn't lost a home game all year:thumb:

bushman the point I was making is that if ALL of the students showed the school spirit and dedication that very few(present company applauded) do, then the Cockpit would be as feared a place to visit as (the Black Hole) other schools
as far as the tennis team never being that good....I seem to remember another Alliance sport that wasn't taken too seriously in the not so distant past. At least not until this years seniors got to the High school.....and who was their sumer coach......hmmmm another spirited old fart...lol

well maybe more students would participate in the student section if they were actually allowed to show school spirit........just a thought
 
Aviator with wings are you implying that coach Pugh does not take his job as head coach seriously? If you are who I think you are you know full well the time and effort that he has put into ANYTHING and EVERYTHING he has been associated with. And just because he is not afraid to say what he thinks is not a reason to discredit his dedication..... Since when is everything directed to record in High school sports anyway?.....Maybe it's you who is the JOKE!!!

Maybe I am a JOKE Freak....but when I support MY Aviators I do it as an adult by buying tickets to games, selling programs at functions, voting "yes" on levies, volunteering my time on committees, volunteering at play practices and graduations...Is that enough???? or do I have to be young again and hang out with my kids and do the scoreboard chant..????
 
Whats wrong with the scoreboard chant? We all know what he did, but we've all got our skeletons. But at least he's still in the Alliance School System and hasn't "gotten his wings" yet. :eek:

And last time I checked...everyone, of every age buys a ticket. and the baseball teams sells the programs.

And since when is there a rule that when you become a certain age you're not allowed to have fun? I could honestly only see that at Alliance, the school where no school spirit is allowed. The school where you're only allowed 2 pep-rallies a whole school year. I didn't know there was an age limit on fan support...
 
With all of the volunteering and supporting you SUPPOSEDLY do why don't I see you more often Winger?
And if coach Pugh and his teams are such a joke why aren't YOU coaching them?
...At least coach Pugh says what he has to say to your face....

Freak...I will be sitting in the blue seats ...top row right behind the score table...since you haven't seen me...if you like to say hello ...comeon down...as far as Pugh's antics if you like them enjoy them ...and just to let you know speaking on a public forum is NOT speaking in someone's face.....LOL....but of course you know that....LOL....have a nice year....
