Why don't Joe and his crew put out a line by line accounting of what their bill includes, the expenditure for each line, and how the money will be raised?

Put it in black and white so the public can see it. After all, we are being told how wonderful it is.

Or are they afraid the average American will tell them to stick it?

New cars are purchased by a few very wealthy high volume cash flow types and others who just want to experience the new car feel every now and then. The wealthy (those with high assets but average income) have likely focused on asset appreciation for years and do not allow desire for materialism to strip them of assets.

It's oftentimes those who are living in deep debt but feel they "deserve" a new vehicle or vacation. From reading your posts you make it sound like high net worth people all look like Thurston Howell III. That's not correct. In fact, many of them have never even earned 6 figures... but they stay employed, budget, and don't languish in credit card and student loan debt. They plan for the future by forgoing many short-term pleasures. Now, you'd like to reach into our pockets and tell us, "don't worry, you'll be fine". Why in the world would you be shocked when we say, "no, stay out of my wallet"?
