What about 100 kids compete against 30 kids? Will say the I would like the 7 divisions better if the Divisions were equally divided- I understand the with the 4 divisions the big disparity in enrollment but with 7 I believe the divisions should be equally divided and you will not have the enrollment disparity of the 4 division set up. A school with 1000 kids is good to compete with a school of 500 kids but understand a schools with 1000 should not be competing with a school with 300 kids. We will see have this 2025 tourney plays out.
When you go to the brackets, Fremont Ross is in the bracket of Division 2 Region Region 8 (NW 2) This is correct. There are two NW Ohio Districts in Division 2 (NW 1 and NW 2) The winners of the both those districts (only 3 team districts each) advance to the Regionals. The Fremont District winner advances to the Cincy area regional with the other district winners in region 8 on the brackets page. Hope that makes sense.I'm not sure what's going on. I just pulled up OHSAA brackets and I'm confused. Division III NW District (Fremont Ross games at Millbury Lake); however, they are in the same district as teams from Cincinnati area?
Since Division 1 and 2 now start at the district level and only play 1 or 2 games gets you in to the regional. In the case of Fremont Ross, they are going to a Regional with 3 other Cincy area teams if they advance. Where as the other NW 1 District winner (Anthony Wayne) will go to the Region 6 Barberton Regional. Agree with you on this situation also- unfortunately there is no easy solution- if the OHSAA does not want equal divisions - which it appears to the case- then D1 and D2 need to have more than 64 in them- I think make D1 and D2 80 schools each and the make 3-7 equal- this would lower the numbers a bit but the 100 kids competing against 30 kids is going to hard to get away from. What about 100 kids compete against 30 kids?
I would say it was to help D1 and D2. Only 64 teams in each. Most D1 and D2 teams will start at the district semifinal level. Some will even start at the district final level. Imagine putting that up on the wall, district finalist without having to play a game. The 7 divisions screw division 1 it was made to help 3-7
What I've never understood is how/why each district has its own set of rules for bracket. It's like this in every sport besides football correct? Not sure why Southeast teams are automatically placed on the bracket according to seed and cannot choose their tournament path. In the Central District teams can choose their bracket and path.
Found some pics of that gym.....there is no world where a Regional should be being held there. OG could end up with 3/4 of the gym by themselves lolPotential D-V Ridgedale regional would be a great final 4, OG, Clearfork, Africentric and Amanda-Clearcreek. Might be worth the trip to try to find the place.
Its only going to get worse.....Found some pics of that gym.....there is no world where a Regional should be being held there. OG could end up with 3/4 of the gym by themselves lol
I would agree.Found some pics of that gym.....there is no world where a Regional should be being held there. OG could end up with 3/4 of the gym by themselves lol
