3.5- 4 hour drive from Cincinnati on Week 1 on a Friday night. McNicholas will probably have 3-4 buses of parents and adults. Not many students are going to (or be permitted to) make that trip on their own. I grew up in the Pittsburgh area and my wife is from Midland so I’ve driven that route many times.

McNick will travel well. Always do. Hopefully Steubenville plays a cleaner game than they did in their last game they played last year vs Alter. Was at the game.... was embarrassed for their Coach, program and school.

I saw refs get hit in the face 3 times last year in the games I attended… Not sure what the big deal is.

It was from a 2 feet away and he threw it cause he was pissed.There were about 30 other punk plays we could argue about i guess.

That game was an aberration. Not sure what caused 4-5 kinds to go off the rails. It certainly was not indicative of the Big Red culture.

I know the play, and he did not throw the ball off his face. I agree that he flipped it too hard in that situation, and it was a horrible game, but claiming he threw the ball off his face is a lie.

It has nothing to do with winning; just say that he flung the ball off the ref's chest/hands rather than lying to make it appear worse. Big difference between off face and off hands/chest.

Heard grumblings Wiggins isn’t playing football any longer.

I recently saw a photo on Twitter of Wiggins with the football team. The Smith kid that wrestles was also in the photo, so perhaps the caption should have read Big Red athletes rather than football players. Or maybe they're both on the football team.

Probably should have had more competent refs to simply start ejecting players ASAP and control wouldn’t have been lost.

That season is over. Our 20th State Semifinal appearance.

Those seniors are graduating.

Not sure why we don’t host a 7 on 7 tourney. It would bring money into the town and the program. Here in Florida I’ve been to a few and I was impressed with the quality of the competition and attendance.

Ohio still has the mentality that it’s a detriment. Even though it clearly helps both sides of the ball.
