However the Tipp QB is a sophomore and since coaches have to elect players from their team for offensive and defensive player of the year, I doubt Burgbacher elected Thomas over Davis

Both have a common opponent. Massie scored easily on Xenia during the preseason. Harrison/Massie was a slugfest with Masse in a close one in more of a defensive showdown. But Xenia did move the ball on Massie as well...... I give Xenia the edge offensively and Harrison the edge defensively. Defense wins playoff games in my opinion. I would pick Harrison in a close one but I could see if Harrison completely shuts down Xenia, it could be a several score difference if Xenia can't rely on their run game for 1st downs. I do not see Xenia's defense shutting down Harrison completely. Should be a good game.
 
Butler trails Anderson 35-0 in the 2nd quarter

Xenia trails Harrison 28-7 in the 2nd quarter

Tipp leads St Marys 14-7 at halftime


Nothing super surprising so far.
 
Looks like Tipp's losing streak to St Marys in the playoffs is gonna continue. Rough game for the Red Devils. INT in the red zone, botched snap on a FG in the red zone... that just won't cut it
 
St. Marys came to play and hung with Tipp the whole game. Tipp did not play as well as it had in the past several weeks. The mistakes ended up costing them. Nice win for the WBL.
 
I'm even a Tipp fan, and I'm ready to see the meltdown or excuses Fried Bacon has for that performance Tipp put out there tonight.

2 long St Marys drives, converted what felt like every 3rd and 4th down, and Tipp with an INT and botched FG attempt will absolutely lose you a ball game.
 
Fried bacon you’re going to answer for your crimes where are you. Maybe you could frame this as the boys were so upset the rest of the league didn’t bow down to you and just decided to boycott toughness.

Coincidently, it would seem Tipp is just as mentally and physically soft as you are by not responding and taking accountability.

I’ll speak very slowly for you, don’t write checks that high school aged boys can’t cash

So during the St Marys game - Tippecanoe up 1, one minute 30 seconds left - Tipp has THREE timeouts. They don't call ANY to salvage time until it's too late, and the Riders sit down to kick a game winning field goal with 12 seconds left. Maybe I'm missing something - but that screams huge coaching game management mistake to me. They used one to ice the kicker and took another home with them for next season.

Obviously the schedule isn’t good enough. The MVL is an elementary league at best.

Was wondering when fools were going to blame it on other teams and then say the league is no good. You are the early winner. If a team doesnt win state the the league is terrible and TIpp needs to play better teams. Complete joke.

When there is a person as detached from reality as Fried Bacon, it makes Tipp’s losses even funnier. That guy can’t have a realistic conversation about anything.

The league is bad. You need to play better teams to test yourself.

Where is the flaw in that logic? Half the league is terrible. Agree or disagree?

The 2nd and 3rd place teams is a league should not be blown out in the second round of the playoffs.

One HUGE reason Tipp lost was because of coaching. Should have used timeouts instead of hoping a high school kicker would miss the kick. Should have had the strategy the the team they were playing was good and would make it.
