I'm curious whether any of the hosting sites will turn on their own feeds for games. I know that in soccer and volleyball, there were games streamed by the hosting site on their own Youtube channels.

Not sure how that works. I know (or believe) that if Spectrum picks up a game, all other streams are verboten.

Maybe Waycross, BigTimeSports, St. Ed, etc. would travel to broadcast a game of interest, but one might suspect that a lot of the participants will not.

If Spectrum picks a game for live TV, other streams can be audio only. If Spectrum picks a game to stream with a one camera shoot, others can do live audio and tape delay video if the host can accommodate.

Big Time Sports TV will be airing 2 games this weekend.
Canton South vs West Branch will be aired Friday at 11pm and Saturday at 9am
Green vs Canal Winchester will be Aired Friday at 11pm and Again at 5pm on Saturday. We will also be uploading the game to our stream at approximately 9:30pm Friday night. You can view world wide at bigtimesportsohio.com

Is there a complete list of what is being carried by the NFHS Network? Are they like Spectrum and have exclusive broadcast rights when there?

Not sure how that part works, but there are about 25 playoff games to choose from tonight. Nice thing is you aren't locked into one game, you can click any of them to view. https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/sports/football/ohio

The pecking order is Spectrum has priority over everyone, and no one else can do video. Then NFHS has priority over everyone else, and only live audio/radio or 3 hour minimum tape delay video/tv broadcast is allowed. The tape delayed video cannot start until after the completion of the game.
So most outfits elect to do audio/radio only or to forego the broadcast/coverage entirely

How does NFHS get priority? What's in it for OHSAA? Seems to me that -- if OHSAA wanted to serve their member schools -- they would give the schools' broadcasts priority over NFHS.

Those 25 NFHS games for Ohio are all live streamed this week. It was 25 games a couple hours ago, but don't no why it is down to 19 games now

Let's see...
1. The only broadcast partner listed on the OHSAA site is Spectrum/Boxcast. NFHS is not mentioned.
2. Home team shouldn't matter. OHSAA makes it very clear that these are OHSAA playoff games and are not governed by the normal practices of the home team (which wouldn't apply at neutral sites, anyway).
3. Ditto for the stadium.

Well, just look at the NFHS link I put up. They are either published by OSHAA, or the location site, and not the home teams

That link just shows which games they're streaming. It doesn't give any insight as why they get to stream those games and others don't. If that is indeed the way it works.

Because the OHSAA provides production assistance for playoff games covered by NFHS in return for some sort of renumeration.

I think it's starting to come into focus now more and more as to how the OHSAA is picking neutral sites as well. It's not a coincidence that many of the schools chosen are users of NFHS and the OHSAA is taking full advantage of another way make more $$$

How does that work? Because at $12 for a monthly pass, it's not clear how much revenue NFHS has on hand for renumeration. $12/month / (25 games/week * 4 weeks) = $.12 per game per subscriber. Not much renumeration there. Certainly not enough to meaningfully impact OHSAA's bottom line.

Broadcast fees vary from $100 to $250 per game (depending on who is streaming and where they are located; see attached broadcast agreement). Is NFHS really sending OHSAA a check for somewhere between $2500 and $6250 every week? At $.12 per game, they'd need somewhere between 20,000 and 52,000 subscribers to match the individual game fees if all of those games were streamed by other parties.
