2020-21 Lakers

I think It's time to close it down this season.It's better to be safe than sorry.Make sure A.D. is healed up 100% for next season.Make sure Lebron is fully healed up as well.

Next year's front court will be A.D. Drumond and Lebron! Schroder will be PG again and Pope will be the shooting guard.And we will have alot of depth at the guard position.We will have alot of depth in the front court as well.Harrell,Kuzma,Morris,and Gasol if he wants to stay.

Lets get ready to win the NBA Championship next year!!
 
Portland beats Lakers 106-101.The Lakers drop to 37-30 and 7th place.

A.D. finally played like A.D. scoring 36 points and 12 rebounds.
 
A.D. starting to get his legs under himself.He scored 36 and 42 points the last 2 games and had 12 rebounds in both games.

I still would shut the season down for A.D. It's better to be safe than sorry.
 
Two back in the win column of Dallas and Portland with four games remaining. Seems like they're just about locked into the 7th seed at this point.
 
Lakers beat Houston 124-122 to go to 40-30.Tucker had 23 points.

Anthony Davis,Lebron James,Dennis Schroder,and Carasso did not play.

What a difference in A.D. when he plays with his groin pull and when he is healthy.It's like night night and day.He can go for 30-12 a night when healthy and he is arguably the best defensive player in the league.A.D. is the best Big man in the League!
 
Lakers beat Pacers 122-115 to improve to 41-30.A.D. had 28 points and 10 rebounds.

Lebron went 24-7-8 in 28 minutes.Lebron should not play tomorrow. Neither should A.D.

A.D. played 36 minutes with a pulled groin muscle.But L.A. needs to win.

If Denver beats Portland tomorrow a L.A. win over the Pelicans keeps them out of the play-inn and gives them the number 6 seed! L.A. would play Denver in the first round of the play-offs.Should the Lakers play Anthony Davis tomorrow?
 
The Lakers beat the Pelicans 110-98 to improve to 42-30.Lebron scored 25 points.

Both A.D. and Lebron played on back to back nights.Lebron re-sprained his high ankle sprain in the 4th quarter when he stepped on Nickeil Alexander-Walker's foot.He gingerly walked off the court and never returned.

Anthony Davis only scored 14 points playing with a pulled groin muscle and bad shoulder.

The Lakers play the Warriors Wedsday in the play-in.The winner plays the Suns.

The loser plays the winner of the Grizzly's-Spurs game for the 8th seed.Winner plays Utah.

I can't see the Lakers beating the Warriors with A.D. and Lebron hurt.I can't see the Lakers beating the winner of the Grizzly's-Spurs game either.The Lakers won't make the play-offs.

This year A.D. and Lebron were injured and missed alot of games.Now there injured again.

Lets win the NBA Championship next year!!
 
The NBA got a gift wrapped playoff matchup with LeBron/ Steph.

This is an awful sitaution for the banged up Lakers. Back to back to start the playoffs, then even if they do find a way to win, they play either Phoenix or Utah. The networks have to be shaking thinking of a finals of either Utah, Phoenix, or basically anyone else in the west. The NBA / ESPN has done a terrible job not protecting themselves from this. They push individual players and not teams, and they allow players to move around way too freely. The NFL has some protections because they have so much more parity and good fan bases in most cities. Utah is a great basketball town, and the Jazz are a great franchise. But the NBA and it's media partners never push them.
 
Imagine being the Suns and putting legit effort into virtually the entire regular season (four best players all played 67+ games) and having to face either LeBron or a red hot Steph in the first round of the playoffs.
 
Lakers beat Warriors 103-100.A.D. scored 25 points and had 12 rebounds.

Lebron had a triple double 22 points 11 rebounds and 10 assists

Lakers move on to play the Suns in a 7 game series.

Lebron hit a long 3 as the shot clock expired for the game winner

Series tied at 1-1.Lebron(High ankle sprain) and A.D.(Pulled groin muscle and bad shoulder) are both playing hurt.

A.D. hyperextended his left knee and was limping while running up and down the floor.
 
Suns beat Lakers 100-92 to tie series 2-2.Lebron had 25 points and 12 rebounds.

Anthony Davis missed the 2nd half(Groin) and Pope didn't play at all.
 
Suns beat the Lakers 113-100. Suns win the series 4-2. Lebron James scored 29 points.

Anthony Davis played 5 minutes and didn't score.
 
Bad pick and roll defense and 3 point shooting broke this team's back without Anthony Davis in the lineup. The supporting cast is going to need some retooling for them this summer to beef up those two aspects of their team.
