Who wins D4?

It's really hard to win state titles against good teams that are really well coached, and in hostile environments. Make no mistake there is an enormous advantage for schools that bring the whole town having the games at UD Arena as compared to at the cavernous Schott. The atmosphere is a lot rowdier and Richmond Heights judging by the bracket is going to see two opponents (Jackson Center/Russia and Crestview/Marion Local) that will have a few thousand fans in a packed lower bowl at UD Arena.

Bump. What's the over/under on the number of people from Richmond Heights here? Direct quote from someone sitting behind me, "they've got no fans...they've got no community here." The majority of people, if not everyone, sitting in the Richmond Heights student section are from Russia and Hiland.

It's clear Richmond Heights is a lot more talented than Russia...and about six minutes into this game they are trailing 7-4. It's hard when it seems like the whole arena is rooting against you and you're a kid.

To be honest I'm shocked this is a 2 point game considering Russia has 13 turnovers already. If they had a PG on par with the kid from Botkins a couple years ago, they'd be up 8-10 points at the half.

Berlin Hiland had an all Ohio transfer move in from Stasburg..
They won 2 titles with him... they don't sniff either of those titles without him..

so Hiland ruined legit state championships from the teams they beat..

bunch of people on hear have heads in the sand and refuse to acknowledge what Hiland did is exactly the same as what they claim Richmond Hts is doing..

They are in real danger if they can't speed things up and get a few cheap buckets off of turnovers.

And Russia is a 45 minute drive to Dayton and RH is 3 hrs. Whatever. Games aren’t scored by how many fans are in stands.

Apparently the only teams that are worthy of winning state championships in D2-D4 are the teams whose entire town attends the tournament games and whose players have all played together since age 2.

No community in the sense of what you see from a place like Russia where community is everything. Entirely different world as mentioned previously between the small urban public or private vs. the small town rural public.
