And we had exactly that, like every other election in all of our lifetimes. It's fun to exaggerate about events when an argument is taking place but when the facts are revealed, this was a minor blip that will be forgotten in the next decade. It will not be part of history lessons. It will simply be forgotten much like the events of May 4th.

Watch the video....they temporarily overran the capitol and shut down the US Senate as they were certifying an election. We had our leaders running for their lives. It was chaos and we were very very lucky more people did not die and only a few dozen cops were injured.

It was based on a LIE and a hateful speech by the sitting president of the US who sat and watched it on TV enjoying every minute until Kevin McCarthy begged him to order the National Guard (who is people had held back) It is remarkable....IMO bigger than 9-11 in political terms and much much more serious than watergate. It was one of the saddest day I can remember in our country and the fact that you guys white wash it like it was a parade is astonishing. Kevin McCarthy of course flip flopped on the whole story of Jan 6th because he has NO SPINE and the political winds are blowing to the crazy caucus. He is on record talking to the president and this is why he doesn't want hearings and investigations.

it will be in history books. it was an attempt to prevent that peaceful transfer of power instigated by a President of the United States. Oh yeh, and what happened on May 4th, 1970 is in history books. You should read one.

May 4th is slipping away. It was a very big deal when I was younger. Now it is simply a Star Wars day, even in Kent, OH. Truly amazing how many people in this area have very little knowledge of that day.
