Altuve is becoming one of the faces of the MLB. He's also been a star within the League but now, he's on the Modern Day Mt Rushmore with Harper, Judge, and Bryant.

Went to bed during 8th inning, shocked to see all the fireworks and the Astros winning. Will be interesting to see if the Astros can take command of the series in games 3 and 4.

The Nats job is one of the worst in baseball because they fire guys all the time. Philadelphia is a much better job right now imo. They are on the upswing

Amazing game last night for sure. Vaunted Dodger bullpen took it on the chin, that really helps the Astros confidence.

I think the key to the Series now will be Yu Darvish. He has alternated between awesome or awful this year. If he is right, he is tough.

When Aroldis Chapman made some comments about Girardi and absolutely nothing was done, you knew Girardi was on his way out. Inmates running the asylum. SMH.

As of right now, the Nats have much more talent. Perhaps getting a big time Mgr like Girardi will convince Harper to stay?

The Nats have had six managers in ten years, the last three all had winning records. They also refused to give Baker more than a two year deal and the owner didn't want to give Baker an extension during the season because he is a cheap . Then after the Nats season was over, Baker still thought he'd get an extension and waited around in D.C. for over a week but the Nats GM never called him so he went back to California where he lives. Right after Baker got home the Nats told him over the telephone they didn't want him back. So it was clear the Nats were just being pusşies and didn't want to say it to him in person, which is ridiculous. You can do that to a manager like Matt Williams who everyone hated, but don't do that to Dusty who's been around for 40 years. Pretty unprofessional

There's an article that details the whole situation better but I can't find it. From Jon Morosi I think

So if you're Girardi, or any experienced manager for that matter, you may not want to work for a cheap owner who won't give you anything more than a two year deal, which you'll probably be fired from if you don't win a WS in those two years. Plus Harper is probably going to be a Yankee in 2019 anyway. The Nats suck

Never heard what Chapman said about Girardi, maybe I wasn't paying attention.
Girardi won't be in Washington they're too cheap!
Martinez will get that job.

Yeah, Sanchez was the only Yankee player I heard talking about Girardi, and that was second-guessing the no-challenge in game 2.
