What's going on in the world

I don't want to start a new thread for this, but I know this is got to be connected with politics somehow. I went to my favorite paint store the other day and told the lady I would like 4 gals of transparent oil base deck preservative and she says lets see how many I have. Then I hope I have that many and I said why you don't want to have to hunt down some of it and she says no this is it, there is no more oil base being offered in Ohio. I ask why can you buy oil base south of the Mason Dixon Line but not in northern states? I got the four gals. but if I am able to live another 4 years what am I suppose to do to be able to keep my deck look like it does now and has for 15+ years. I keep hearing how it pollutes the air but why does it pollute in the north and not the south?

Well it just got a lot harder to convict that cop in Minneapolis of 1st degree murder:

Never thought first degree was appropriate . Guy should do about 10-15 IMO . He had a history of being a doosh cop and clearly didn't have to do what he did with other officers around to help him . Not pre-meditated. Chauvin is weird, odd and shouldn't be a police officer and should pay for how he went about his job that day .

He died of a drug over dose, not anything the cop did. The body cam and autopsy don't lie.

Well it just got a lot harder to convict that cop in Minneapolis of 1st degree murder:

When the media goes off the deep end without all the facts and assists in inciting riots and looting, and then ALL the facts come out that paint the FULL picture, not only is it incredibly embarrassing for the pathetic media, it will likely result in even more rioting and looting when the defendant gets probation or something similar, because people have already made up their minds. Sad state of affairs, all driven by left-wing media, left-wing government officials and radical leftists.

Because he knelt on the mans neck until he expired even though he had multiple fellow officers to assist him
In subduing a limp man . He will do time .

He likely would have died if the cops gently tucked him into bed.

This is about what the prosecutor can prove in a court of law. Given the FULL video and the autopsy there is no way a jury will (or should) convict the officer of homicide.

Justice would not be served if this police officer spends even one day in jail.

An ICE Nurse Revealed That A Georgia Detention Center Is Performing Mass Hysterectomies
Posted on September 15, 2020 at 09:35:50 AM by rkm

On Monday, a nurse at a private immigration detention center in Georgia came forward about a range of dangerous medical practices at a U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility. According to her, the center has not only ignored COVID-19 protocols, but is actively performing mass hysterectomies on detained people.

The whistleblower, Dawn Wooten, worked at the Irwin County Detention Center (ICDC) — which is operated by LaSalle Corrections — where she allegedly witnessed the company’s refusal to test detainees for COVID-19 as well as spoke to several people who each had their uterus removed as part of an unwarranted hysterectomy procedure. According to the official complaint lodged with the Office of the Inspector General for the Department of Homeland Security, Wooten said that the facility was performing hysterectomies on people who reported having heavy menstrual cycles or other more serious pain, but that “everybody’s uterus cannot be that bad.”

“I’ve had several inmates tell me that they’ve been to see the doctor and they’ve had hysterectomies and they don’t know why they went or why they’re going,” Wooten said in the report. She also noted how ICDC consistently uses one out-of-facility doctor, who is responsible for the hysterectomies in addition to accidentally removing the wrong ovary in one patient. “He’s the uterus collector.”

“Everybody he sees has a hysterectomy — just about everybody. He’s even taken out the wrong ovary on a young lady [detained immigrant woman],” Wooten said. “She was supposed to get her left ovary removed because it had a cyst on the left ovary; he took out the right one.”

The complaint was filed on the behalf of Wooten by advocacy groups Project South, Georgia Detention Watch, Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights, and South Georgia Immigrant Support Network. In their report, Wooten details other malpractices at the facility, including lack of COVID-19 testing for symptomatic patients, as well as a general lack of reporting cases.

The complaint also explains why she decided to come forward publicly: Wooten had been reprimanded and demoted by ICDC when she spoke up about the poor practices at the detention center.

“You put two and two together,” she said. “I’m asking for these things and speaking for these detainees. I’m a problem. I’m being seen and I’m not supposed to be seen or heard. It makes you look like you’re not doing your job.”

This isn’t the first time the United States has forced people — especially people of color — into unwanted sterilization, which is a human rights violation and a form of eugenics, according to the World Health Organization. For more than 70 years, California led the country in sterilizations; during that time about 20,000 people were sterilized against their will in state institutions. In the South, Black women were treated as “practice” for incoming medical students and had been sterilized unknowingly during C-sections. Other times, they were coerced in order to retain welfare benefits. Sterilization was so wide-spread in North Carolina that a bill was passed in 2015 to give victims financial compensation.

Of course, when it comes to undocumented immigrants, who are regularly referred to as “unwanted” “aliens” by the current president, it’s not so surprising that these practices went unreported for so long. One immigrant in the complaint put it best: “This place is not equipped for humans.”

Will be interesting to learn more about what Happy posted. If true, sounds like some MD is doing his own thing. But we are talking about a disgruntled employee. Also the headline says "mass", yet it doesn't sound like more than a few.

What I do not understand about this whole controversy is why couldn't the school come up with a way the boys could honor Police/Fire on Friday night 9-11. Seems pretty simple.
Anyone that thinks honoring police and fire on 9/11 is controversial shouldn’t have an opinion matters.

It's been pretty easy to see the change in tone at the DR since Matt sold it and stepped back from running it.

Becoming readily apparent the liberal shills around here are definitely getting paid overtime to spew their anti-American propaganda ............pretty sad. More Soros $$

It's a good thing they suck at it and Soros is wasting his money.

This is starting to get frightening. They bought and then destroyed the Drudge Report are they now looking at Fox News? The response by the Fox anchors to Newt Gingrich's very reasonable charge that Soros is to blame for the BLM violence as he has been behind getting a number of far left DA's elected in democrat cities is sharply rebuked:

I thought Fox was in the tank for Trump and the right? I never thought they were and the only redeeming feature about Fox is that they at least give some conservatives/libertarians a platform. Of course Fox also gets record ratings from doing this which doesn't hurt. But Brit Hume & Tucker Carlson wouldn't see the light of day on the Big 3 Networks or CNN/MSNBC (I won't even mention Hannity).

If they're able to push the right off Fox and make no mistake that's exactly what they did to Gingrich here then we need to develop and patronize a completely separate and independent news media.

Maybe I'll sign up to Blaze TV?
