What does each team bring to the table next year? Both have really tough schedules. I like that Farrell is in the mix with Ursuline.

Kinda surprised that Ursuline is AGAIN going to Farrell. But I'm sure the environment will be more electric at the Steelers as opposed to Stambaugh
 
Both teams have tough schedules. Ursuline loses a few key pieces but returns a ton of talent too.
 
Does anyone know the current enrollment numbers at the two schools? I think both picked up more students this year.
 
I am surprised that Ursuline and Mooney schools were never merged. I can remember as far back as the 1980s there were discussions about merging.

I'm not sure why this arrangement was made this season, but in the past the Irish have willingly played exclusively at the opponents field so as to schedule the game. Poland, Massillon & Zanesville come to mind.

This is true. Mooney backed out and is playing a PA team. Very disappointing, Joes/Mooney tradition was a good one to have back on the schedule.
 
Is Mooney going to be playing AT the PA school or is the PA school going to visit Mooney? And where are they going to play their home games this season?

Possibly looking at going to either Ursuline/Walsh Jesuit or Ursuline/Farrell.
 
So, it appears Mooney is playing 9 games on the North side. According to Joe Eitel the last time Mooney had such a light travel schedule was 2000. That year, along with this year, the longest trip was to Warren

The schedule i have seen has Mooney @ Garaway week 4

Perhaps the problem is that you can only schedule a school with a common open date. At this point most of everybody's schedule for the fall is already set.
Does anyone know why the VASJ game in week 2 was cancelled? Who do the Vikings play instead of CMHS?

VASJ is currently looking, and have a few teams they have already contacted.

It's my understanding that VASJ and Mooney agreed to a 2 year deal for '23 and '24 with the first being in Youngstown and this year in Cleveland. Mooney is attempting to back out of that game and schedule the team from PA. It looks as though they may have had their dates mixed up, as Ohio and Pennsylvania's "football weeks" don't align. Beaver Area is showing the game on 8/23 but Mooney/VASJ was supposed to be on 8/30.

Maybe the Vikings/Cardinals game is back on the table???

If there was an attempt to drop the VASJ-Mooney game does anyone know why this was?
