wives who haven't learned not to let dads name babies, deserve what they get. we marry them so there's someone smart in the house. if they fail at the baby naming thing, something needs to adjust.

Sadly, there are people on here that will not get that, some of them even with an explanation.
Had a neighbor once, 5 offspring, 4 girls and 1 boy (GGGBG); the first 3 girls were named...

IIRC, surnames are traditionally listed first in Chinese culture as well as some other east Asian cultures, so Mao is actually a last name.
