Thank you. I was only concentrating on the Championship events. However, I did mentally note across Ohio athletes in the Emerging Elite, Freshmen, and Rising Stars divisions.

Olmsted Falls girls had a very successful NB National Meet…they ran a 4 x mile relay, a DMR, and Katie Clute in the 2 mile.

On Thursday their 4 x mile unit of Sam Goodnough, Aubrey Prada, Rachel Delap, and Katie Clute ran to an All-American 5th place finish. They clocked 21:03.15 for the 4 miles. That converts to a sub 21:00 4 x 1600, for us Ohioans used to such distances. It converts to a 20:55.80 4 x 1600 to be exact.

As already reported by Javman, the next day Katie Clute ran the fastest time in Ohio HS history, clocking 10:09.97. There was a clock en route at the 3000 meter mark and her 9:28.24 was also the fastest Ohio has ever seen for 3000. There was evidently no clock at 3200 but her converted time for 3200 was 10:06.43, which also would have been the fastest ever recorded for an Ohioan.

Their third entry of the meet was the DMR. They clocked 11:57.39 placing 7th, missing the 6th and final All-American spot by less than 2 seconds. The team of Sam Goodnough (1200), Megan Mahaffey (400), Aubrey Prada (800), and Katie Clute (1600) broke the magic 12:00 barrier. Clute had the fastest 1600 split of all anchor runners at 4:45 (in her third race of the meet) and leadoff runner Sam Goodnough absolutely smoked the 1200 leg, running 4:48 1600 pace (3:37) to give the Bulldogs great position right off the bat.

Javman, Those two relay times are outstanding but I’m not sure just how outstanding relative to Ohio history. I realize you haven’t compiled a relay list yet, and I may be way off in asking this, but do you think those two relay times may have a shot at making your eventual lists? If not, let me down easy…haha…

Both relay times more than likely in the top 20 based on cursory info I have pulled together.
EDIT (6:30am - 23 June) - I've changed the likely ranking spots from top 10 to top 20.

I was sad they didn't have a clock at the 3200m mark. Although she most assuredly crossed the 3200m mark faster than any other girl in Ohio HS history (that is unquestionable), all records must have a clock at the exact location where the athlete crossed that distance. Hers would convert to a 10:06.44 3200m under standard 0.9942 multiplication factor. This would most assuredly be no more than 0.1-0.2 off her actual time had there been a clock. She ran a metronome of a race.

EDIT (6:50am - 23 June) - I'm disappointed to see that NBNO's timing crew, PrimeTime, is not so "primetime". I haven't seen any splits for the 4xMile, unlike their previous timing company, FlashResults, had produced prior to the switch to Franklin Field. Very disappointing.

I had just started compiling girls' 4x16/4xMile results this evening after spending most of the week compiling guys' relay marks. Coincidence that you should bring this up.

Request for info from the community: Was the Turpin quartet of Melanie Price (12), Carolyn Rauen (11), Corey Randall (12), Olivia Jaworek (10) that ran at Adidas nationals in 2003 the same that ran 20:44.22 (4x1600m) to win the Roosevelt Memorial earlier that season?
