MAC 2020

League needs to recruit some centers or something.

Might be a little more to it than that.
From the Toledo Board: MJ - Only player in nation averaging 17ppg, 6rpg. & 6apg. 1 of only 3 players in nation with 2 or more triple-doubles. He also has six double-doubles in last nine games. I believe his 92% FT has him top ten. Of the first team, only Turner has a lower TO rate and none match his steals per game. Those are rates, not totals and he kept the numbers high playing 3-7 more games. I enjoy watching LCJ all-day but there really wasn't much doubt this year for POY IMO.

Same for Rollins FOY, who got time early where other teams were a bit slower getting their Freshman into the rotation. It's an impressive Freshman team don't you think?

A good case could be made for Littleson on first. All-Defensive while shooting most 3's in the nation at the second highest rate. Don't see that combinatin everyday.

I am not looking forward to seeing Ball St in the first round. They got some match-ups on Toledo.

I wasn't at all disregarding Marreon's impressive year. My point was that winning the title gave him another factor in his favor when compared to to guys like Loren Jackson, Preston and Turner. He's certainly a deserving recipient.

Very impressive freshmen team. Certainly bodes well for the Rockets and BG.

Akron having no one on the 2nd or 3rd teams is telling. Indicative of their season which saw no one other than Jackson step up.

BG could pose a real problem for Akron. The Metheny kid has really come into his own and has given them a viable third option to go with Turner and Plowden.

Toledo hangs to win first game of tournament after Ball State rallied from 10 down with 5 to play to hit a buzzer beater and force it to OT. Ohio v Kent up next

Coach K can't manage the end of game to save his life.

Their sixth man is the one hurting Toledo. We can't stop Diggs.

rough go from the beginning. Toledo didn't even look to be playing their guard game. Should be a good final regardless Buffs or Akron but would like another Ohio team in the tournament so certainly rooting Akron - Ohio final.

2021 is shaping out to be a perfectly normal year with Toledo playing stellar during the regular season then choking in the MAC tournament.

Go Bulls!

With Preston, VanderPlas and Wilson it was only a matter of time before the Bobcats came alive. Happy to see Boals succeed. Good coach and a good guy.

Not looking good for the first half. Burrow might have to suit up

Don't know if OSU ever offered McDermott the HC job at OSU after the Matta firing but what could have been.

There were mixed messages about this at the time but reading between the lines I think the answer is yes, and for whatever reason he opted to stay at Creighton. I think he was their 3rd or 4th choice with Holtmann being the other as well as the guy who ended up jumping on it after some wrangling.

The first two they shot their shot with either directly or indirectly before getting to those two were some combo of Sean Miller, Chris Mack, Fred Hoiberg and Bob Huggins.

Reading the Creighton boards before the game, I almost got the impression he was on thin-ice. Despite all their success, this is their first Sweet 16 under him. I was amazed to learn that with how much they’ve been in the tournament. He also made some racist comments earlier this year...

This is the first time he's personally been to the Sweet 16 in twenty years of coaching at Creighton, Iowa State and Northern Iowa...this was the first time he's gotten out of the first round in seven years. His best seasons at Creighton were frontloaded in his first few years when they were still in the Missouri Valley plus their first season in the Big East, and he's mostly had a rough go of it since then with the win totals slipping and a lack of any tournament success until this year.

If he hadn't had a resurgence these past two years with the tournament run this year, the school may have conveniently found greater offense and less remorse for the really bad plantation analogy he gave the team after a loss a few weeks ago.

If Ohio had won, I completely could’ve seen them finding greener pastures. Honestly, with those comments he may even need a shocker against Gonzaga to save his grace long-term

As it stands, Ohio returns everyone. With the current landscape of CBB, I’d expect someone to transfer. Preston has gotten a lot of NBA hype but my gut says he is back along with BVP. Definitely need Dwight Wilson back as well. He is only eligible due to the COVID rules

Preston really should go to the NBA and Wilson, could make a Euro team. Vander Plas might as well go too.
You would like that!

Two bench guys have announced they’re transferring from Ohio. We didn’t have any scholarship openings prior to that. Have one commit already for 22.

Best case scenario for open slot would be impact grad transfer. Maybe more of a true big or another great 3-point shooter! Looking forward to what Boals can do
