Lorain District D1

So...I think that means 10 for Eds, 9 for Wadsworth, and 8 for Perry. Team race should be interesting next week.

Thanks for the updates.....sorry jjaf, Abounader looks great in the green and gold :thumb:

I am starting a rumor Abounader is bring Heil to Wadsworth next season! Magedona let the secret out!!!! Go Grizzlies!

By the way it seems that Perry and Wadsworth let Ed's off the hook this weekend. The race for second should be as close as 1st last year.

St. Eds put themselves in a great position with 10 in the finals, but having said that....this might be the best three team race in years.

However, I still like the Eagles to win, but I'm not sure Perry got their horses in the right position to take second. It will be an interesting weekend of wrestling in Columbus.

Abounader absolutely hammered Brandenburg though you could tell his shoulder was hurting. Probably for the best to end it before it got cranked on further. Roddy no show for the finals v. Aboundader. Probably saw the Brandenburg match and figured he'd take a pass. Ed's coaches had no idea until he didn't show for the match that he was going to forfeit, pretty classless imo.

Abounader is an absolute BEAST!!!! I think he just about made Brandenburg cry. I also agree that not showing up to the mat or not letting the opposing coach know that Roddy was going to forfeit, not cool! On a better note, alot of great wrestling in Lorain and looking forward to next weekend.

I like Walz alot, his learning curve has been very steep. Two and out last year at the state tournament and this year I expect him to be very competitive and a high placer.

Having said that, Tavenello is about as complete a 215lb wrestler I have seen in a very long time. He can scramble like a little guy...certainly a product of the youth program in Wadsworth.

I know it's more than being a product of the Tavenello family's pizza because I'm also a product of that and only survive because of Lipitor.

One of my favorite matches this year was Tav vs. Copley's Wheeler as surprisingly the two superb weight class representatives clashed. The bigger man won, but he was exhausted at finish keeping up with the smaller mans speed.
