Jack Delgarbino over Cassioppi

 
If you watch the video, Cassioppi got the first takedown and then looks like he overcooked a turn attempt. Absolute aberration in terms of the outcome.
 
Was it an outcome unlikely to replicate? Yes, likely.

However, I watched it again. Delgarbino stuffs Casiopppi's head as soon as the turn starts, they bridges up and over. Looks like he might be blocking the post arm, too. He knew what he was doing...it's not like a 4th grader got too high running the half.

My thought progression seeing this:

O'Connor loses to Peyton Robb- Well I can see that, upset but nothing wild. Robb can hang with the good guys, but doesn't usually beat them
Griffith loses to Ramirez- A bit more unexpected, but not crazy. Ramirez was a Top 10 recruit who has been out a couple years due to Covid
Wentzel loses to Brian Meyer- wait, who? What? How?

Anytime I wonder why Micky Phillippi has never AA'd, just remind me he does stuff like get defensive pinned by Malyke Hines ?

Glad to see Ohio kid Manzona Bryant in that starting lineup. Also nice to see Elijah Cleary get a shot starting for Pitt

I hear ya about Phillipi. He makes me crazy. Pretty certain Cleary won tonight against Maryland.
