Are you referring to the Greenwood kid that played for Ginn Elite?Didn’t the other qb they wanted go to Glenville as well?

If the kid that you’re speaking of is who I think, I know for sure that logistics played a role, as he lives in Mentor. Neither Ginn or Hoban are particularly close, but that daily commute down here in the winter would’ve been brutal.Yes some poster on here was saying his son committed to Hoban, then later changed to Glenville, probably more because location. Hoban and glenville far apart. It doesn’t take much lose 2/3 studs a year that would usually attend your school, to go to competition and the powers change. Not saying that’s Hoban right now. But with their 2 biggest competitors making a resurgence, Hoban could slip in near future. As could Ed’s . Look at St X and or Elder. Or iggy a decade ago. Doesn’t take much. (Can’t win todays games with yesterdays scores)
I’m really not sure on specifics I just recall a Hoban poster saying that the kid they thought was going to be in their freshman class was going to Glenville instead. I believe he was playing for Ginn Elite so most likely the same kidAre you referring to the Greenwood kid that played for Ginn Elite?
That’s my nephew, LaMarques. He really liked Hoban and Coach T, but the distance factor was a factor.I’m really not sure on specifics I just recall a Hoban poster saying that the kid they thought was going to be in their freshman class was going to Glenville instead. Well good to hear Massillon won’t have to face him lolThat’s my nephew, LaMarques. He really liked Hoban and Coach T, but the distance factor was a factor.
They play the freshman and JV, but unfortunately not the big boys. My brother is actually a Massillonian by default, he’s been on MFD since ‘99. Not the brother who’s son we’re talking about, this one’s son’s is an unathletic genius that attends SVSM.Well good to hear Massillon won’t have to face him lol
Massillon has a nice group of freshmen this year so that matchup should be funThey play the freshman and JV, but unfortunately not the big boys. The freshman play Thursday 9/28 at 6:00 down there. They play at Hoban 10/12.Massillon has a nice group of freshmen this year so that matchup should be fun
I won’t count TCC and Winton Woods out, but on paper Hoban and Massillon seem to be a cut above.Hoban and Massillon will be the Final four as no one else in D2 will give them a game
Toledo CC went to D3 but you’re not wrong about WW. And there will be a few others I think.I won’t count TCC and Winton Woods out, but on paper Hoban and Massillon seem to be a cut above.
TCC will be very good but they’re in D3 this year. Avon is the favorite in R6.I won’t count TCC and Winton Woods out, but on paper Hoban and Massillon seem to be a cut above.
StarstoShine said the Final four.I won’t count TCC and Winton Woods out, but on paper Hoban and Massillon seem to be a cut above.
Final Four…I’ll go R5 Hoban, R6 Avon, R7 Massillon, R8 Winton Woods.StarstoShine said the Final four.
This is the Final Four that most people project.Final Four…I’ll go R5 Hoban, R6 Avon, R7 Massillon, R8 Winton Woods.
Yes. The OHSAA has never deviated from matching Avon and Hoban when each win R6 and R5. I don’t see why this season would be any different, though the only possible switch I can imagine is matching Hoban vs Massillon and Avon vs Winton Woods in the semis, but I just don’t see the OHSAA doing it.This is the Final Four that most people project.
So in this case would you say that Hoban plays Avon in one semifinal and Massillon plays Winton Woods in the other?
TCC will be big favorite in D-3TCC will be very good but they’re in D3 this year. Avon is the favorite in R6.
This is silly talk, Winton Woods top to bottom goes toe to toe with either program.Hoban and Massillon will be the Final four as no one else in D2 will give them a game
I would totally agree with this post. Some people have no common sense apparently. Trust me, NOBODY in Massillon would ever take Winton Woods lightly. This is silly talk, Winton Woods top to bottom goes toe to toe with either program.
Ohhh yeah I remember Massillon had lost to them like 55-28I would totally agree with this post. Some people have no common sense apparently. Trust me, NOBODY in Massillon would ever take Winton Woods lightly.
Absolutely. This is silly talk, Winton Woods top to bottom goes toe to toe with either program.
Do you also remember when Massillon beat Winton Woods 41-20?Ohhh yeah I remember Massillon had lost to them like 55-28
I think he was probably just referring to the D2 teams in Hoban's and Massillon's path up north. This is silly talk, Winton Woods top to bottom goes toe to toe with either program.
LDG, are you at all familiar with Jackorion Caffey RB from Avon class of 24'. I'm a Bearcat fan and see where he committed to play football at Cincinnati. Is he legit?I won’t count TCC and Winton Woods out, but on paper Hoban and Massillon seem to be a cut above.
TCC poster here, he had a great offensive line with him but by all means is the real deal. Good pickup for the Bearcats.LDG, are you at all familiar with Jackorion Caffey RB from Avon class of 24'. I'm a Bearcat fan and see where he committed to play football at Cincinnati. Is he legit?
TCC!!!! I believe we had an awful good back named Michael Warren out of TCC a couple of years ago.....there are a few folks on our boards that were comparing Caffey to Warren. Similar body type, and strong as an ox based on his workout videos.TCC poster here, he had a great offensive line with him but by all means is the real deal. Good pickup for the Bearcats.
Even with a loaded Hoban Sr class im sure he will see plenty of varsity time. Im sure he would completely destroy any freshman football player.Apologies if this was answered in the 8 pages already, but is the Feister kid (Freshman) going to be seeing Varsity time?
Kid is unbelievable athlete and wrestler.
