GMC Tourn.

IMO Day pinned hammer; before that Day was beating him big he wins

The score was 6-4 with under 30 seconds in third, Hammer tried a dumb throw and got caught. Wouldn't say was beating him big. Yes day won, but under 30 seconds, you have to try something. Was not a wise choice. And 4 of the points for Day came off of another throw Hammer tried. I was at this match. Hammer didn't wrestle his normal self, he looked out of it. Day did win, but if they wreslted again I think it would be a different story.

Ramirez will not win @ 89. He was beat Thursday night by Ray from East. Ray had some setbacks early but I think he is gonna surprise quite a few folks.

89 will have some good matches, Ray and Ramirez will be a good match. Don't forget Powell from Colerain who lost to Ramirez in overtime at FF

just looking to get the ball rolling here....... listed are the contenders at each weight, no order, just names.

Yea, probably, but I'll chime in before he makes any foolish comments. I think Brown has already beaten Greico and Reynolds who you have listed at 119 and I think Asher from Hamilton is at 135 now? Isn't Boiman wrestling HWT. for Colerain? And the HWT. from Mason is E. Meyers not from FF unless they have a meyers too? But good list to start from.[FF hwt is Bohannon not meyers]

Call me crazy but...Mescher really could come out on top at 145, especially after the match with Sizemore this past weekend.

Bowman- East, Boiman- Colerain

If you are refering to East's heavyweight, they did have a kid last name Tuck, at heavy that hurt his knee and was out for the whole season. Bowman has filled in pretty well.

I think Middletown is a bit deeper than three... both globke's,
davis (140) who lost to sams 3-2 or 4-2, lewis, hall, reeves

Mason is the team to beat--they should have it wrapped up after semi's. After that is the real battle....West or FF???? Should be interesting!!! Here is how i see it: The bottom 6 could be flipped in many different ways
Mason
West --- if estes is wrestling-- i think he will
Fairfield
East
Middletown
Princeton
Oak Hills
Colerain
Hamilton
Sycamore

Davis lost both matches by a score of 3-1, this last match sams completely dominated

What Davis/Sams match are you talking about?? Ty Davis beat Ad Sams this year twice 10-2 and 10 -0 i believe. and Au. sams only beat Davis 1 time leat year and that match was 8-5

He's talking about Latrell Davis from Middletown.

probably the one that involved a kid from fairfield and a kid from MIDDLETOWN

i saw the Latell Davis vs. Sams match and it was far from dominated. At the end sams had his running shoes on to get away. i think he had his hands full and was happy to get off the mat. i guess you can say dominated as much as a 3-1 match can be????? Gosh i guess if you put it that way Davis was totally out of the match. there is no way he could have tied it up with a takedown. good stuff

I agree. Watching him wrestle Saturday was a real eyeopener! He looked very strong, fast, and fought for every point. The GMC should be fun this year!

He is fun to watch.
There was a match against two kids wrestling, then all the sudden a bear came out and tossed Seizmore.
Mesh is gonna be a bear in this month of champions.

Okay i did not see the 2nd match but from what i heard was sams escape and takedown in 2nd period ride for 1:30 in 2nd and rode 1:45 in the 3rd period and cut cuz he got in bad position.... and didn't latrell get 3 stalling calls in the first match?

from what i heard at he FF invite.... in the first match you could call them stalling calls unless you knew who the ref was????? just guess....

Seed nominations are posted on baumspage. Looks like it is going to be a fun coaches meeting tomorrow morning! Some weight class switching going on.

Barden makes 103. He's now a big factor. Barely lost to noble at the Fairfield invite. Hammer back at 119, I am not sure what to expect from him here. Whitcomb-Dixon making 140 is another surprise for me

Noticed that Jeremy Artrip listed at 119. Glad to see him back in the line-up, makes that 119 class much more exciting for this weekend and those that follow it!

Mason with 9 guys in the finals, there has been some awesome wrestling so far. East put 3 guys in. LW 5 guys in final, and fairfield 4. Surprised Day is not in final for fairfield. Latrell Davis of Middletown with eye opening win, he's tough! Mather with an upset win over Ramirez to hit final for Sycamore. Gotta give him his props to nobody thought that would happen. Wilder of Princeton not in final is also a shocker!
