Any word on the numbers for the incoming freshmen next year Class of 2024? Let's try not to get this thread closed. I think today is the deadline for the 8th graders to enroll/make decision for next year.
Visi has approx. 40 headed to Elder and will be it's biggest feeder once again.
Likely won’t know until next week.Any word on the numbers for the incoming freshmen next year Class of 2024? Let's try not to get this thread closed. I think today is the deadline for the 8th graders to enroll/make decision for next year.
I think this is the last larger class for Visi or it might be next years class.Visi will always be its biggest feeder, even in down years.
How many does Visi usually send in a year? Is 40 high/low/average? Knowing this would give an indication of where the numbers will fall.
Yes, and even with the significantly smaller classes coming down the pipe, they will still be the biggest feeder.
Even with the drastic decrease, they'll still easily be the largest.

Only one of them is.Not to go OT but are their two best basketball players in this class headed to X?
Well then it's even worse than I thought.
I thought Visitation was around 800 and Jude around 600. If Visi is losing 25%, that's catastrophic.
Yeah, Jude is trending higher.Im not sure about that 5-6 years from now. It seems like in some of those younger grades it’s St Jude that has the biggest numbers.
Only one of them is.
Oh, I know, but didn't think it was this drastic.
Okay, thanks! For what it's worth, I've heard around 170-175 on enrollment. Believe it, don't believe it, don't care.
Only one of them is.
They are at 186-190 as of Friday.if the number is 170-175 that is not good at all. The current senior class is in he 225 range (which will be the last big class) and the junior class is in the 160 range. Elder was confident in getting back to 200 per year....doesn't look like that is happening. D2 is a real possibility by the time this incoming class graduates.
How long do acceptances trickle in?They are at 186-190 as of Friday.

200 is what I am hearing for next yrs incoming class. More than this current yrs class. Weber from IHM chose X. Dugan from IHM chose Elder. Anyone from Ignatius hear how many they are sending to Elder this year? They are at 186-190 as of Friday.
Thought I saw St I's best basketball player in 8th Grade walking around in a Moeller sweatshirt last weekend. Not terribly surprising if so.200 is what I am hearing for next yrs incoming class. Why would a guy with no ties to Elder spend hours of his day bashing a school he claims to be a fan of?Why would kids all the way out in White Oak entertain Elder as an option?
You just said in another thread Lasalle is a crappy value. Lol.Why would kids all the way out in White Oak entertain Elder as an option?

All the way out in White Oak? I'd guess those boys going to Ignatius live closer to Elder than those living in Three Rivers.
Also, in an unrelated note, I am told Ignatius has decided to accept the ed choice vouchers (if it ever actually happens) and many current parishioners at Ignatius are not happy with the decision by the school. Not sure what impact if any this will have but interesting to see.
What is the key to managing it correctly?Went thru this when I was School Board president of my kids' grade school. If managed correctly, it is no problem and a good thing.
