D4 Region 13 2024

Yeah I would agree that WB hasn’t played anyone but Chaney. They struggled with Chaney for 3 quarters too. Their entire league is lacking this season making wb look like world beaters.

LC has played a much better schedule and are a better team.

Everybody likes to throw comparisons in scores. Here’s one for you. Struthers 28-21 over Girard . WB 48-7 over Girard. Does it really matter?

Yes, it matters tremendously when you look at the game.
That was Struthers’s first game without their starting quarterback. It makes a pretty big difference. I would like to see the score with West branch without their starting quarterback. Now as the season progresses, of course that doesn’t matter as much, but the first game? Yeah it made a big impact.

But it’s not going to matter you can have the best team in school history and draw Glenville in the second round and lose by 30. It’s going to happen to everyone.

Basically the same schedule they’ve had for the last several years when on everybody thought they were tough. The 2022 division three champs has three wins. Not the Warriors fault.

It’s not WB fault their schedule is what it is this year, Canfield and Woodridge are normally way better than this year. Issue with most D4 teams is if you lose your best player you’re kinda screwed when the playoffs start, that’s every team in D4 except for glenville sadly. I wonder how much longer glenville are gonna be able to manipulate the system in their favor or get the balls to play up

Transitive property doesn’t really work well tho because if you look at the other way Struthers put Chaney away in the first half. I would pick WB in that game tho over my cats solely because they have their QB and we don’t have our all state QB/FS for what it’s worth.


If you’re a west branch fan you hope Struthers beats Poland tho because if Poland beats my cats then WB is looking at glenville in round 2

If there’s one thing this West Branch team has lacked., It’s a chip on their shoulder. I hope they’re hearing what people are saying. This is a team that went 11- 2 last year brought back everybody except one player on each side of the ball. They ended their of season losing to Canton South’s best team ever We’ll see what happens in a few weeks. I still think we’ve yet to see their best ball but they’ve got the players.

Said it earlier in the thread that WB plays absolutely no one but they have talent. Sad they won’t make it out. It is what is, no reason to be butthurt about it.

People are trashing West Branch right and left, but I’m the one who’s butt hurt? Do people still use that term? Canfield won the state title two years ago now suddenly they are nobody? Chaney is nobody? They beat Canfield that year. Handed them their only loss. You people crack me up every time a few teams have down years you want to realign every league .

Nobody is trashing west branch, they’re very good this season but they’re not beating glenville, that’s not a knock on west branch that’s just the reality of the region this season. You’re more suited talking about the baseball team you coach keep with that, anyone who doesn’t agree with you is just giving their own opinion you don’t need to take it as trashing your program….. you act as if people are saying they stink

Turns out the 1pt win over st eds is not as impressive as it was at the time as st eds just looks like a not top 10 team in the state this year.

Who said anything about Glenville? I just just responding to somebody who said WB couldn’t beat Lake Catholic. I’m sure Lake Catholic is good, not sure how they turned into unbeatable since their last loss to Struthers . I do not watch baseball and that’s laughable coming from the Youngstown posters who infiltrate topics on leagues that they are not affiliated and share all kinds of opinions and think they know everything. You don’t see me over on your league posts do you? I’ll come over there and tell you couldn’t beat Kenston or CVCA and how your schedule stinks and we’ll see how that goes across. You only see what you want to see.

Well, if you came to one of the threads and said the schedule stinks, we could easily pull out proof that it doesn’t stink and the West branch’s does. Not sure where you’re trying to go with that one.

But if we talk about scrimmages, you will know that the cats and the Warriors tied in their scrimmage and Struthers ran for about 8 yards a carry without the quarterback running the ball.

Poland beats every team in the ebc by 30 points with the exception of west branch. Give me a break dude. The league is absolutely terrible.

Drew Pasteur has their schedule rated as 58th of 106 d 4 schools.

For the third time. I was not talking about Glenville. I don’t care what you were talking about. I was talking about lake Catholic. And I know the EBC is not good. I think we established that. I’m talking about West Branch . And when was the last time West Branch lost to a team in your league? Dude

2022 lost to Jefferson who finished 4th in our league
 
You’re a Poland fan. I remember last time we played. but yes, your league representative with wins against West Branch in the last four years is Jefferson. We all remember DeShields couldn’t run also .

That guy just gets upset if you don’t say WB is gods gift to this area or that their schedule stinks “which it does” he will be off here when his kid graduates this year.
