D4 Region 13 2024

Well, there was your D4 state championship game. Congratulations to Glenville. Glad Perry could prove all the doubters wrong. Since the beginning of this thread I've seen, Perry's too small Perry's too slow, perry can't compete at the top of this region, perry can't challenge Glenville... d say these boys did all of that.
I think
Hats off to both teams. Great HS football game. Glenville vs Perkins will be another war!
I agree! Would love to go to this game. Sat my butt at home this week but will probably go to Hoban/Avon at Info next week. Should be a great game and good luck to both teams!

Like I said at the beginning of the year it was gone take two battles to win it. This region is damn good
I think it gets easier for glenville from here. Maybe perkins can compete a little but glenville wins, then walks through state pretty easy.

Well see. I was really impressed with Perkins last year but I think one their WRs is hurt and idk if the Qb is as good as last years. They will get the angriest version of Glenvile football because how they talk so that's definitely not working in their favor lol

I caution those who underestimate Perkins. I still will pick Glenville but weather looks like snow and wind next Friday. A similar game to this weeks would be my thoughts right now.

I was looking forward to this likely D4 state championship game for a while and it lived up to the hype. Too bad the weather did not, lol.

Time for Glenville to go on and win it all. Great season, Perry.
I'd like to say i think we win if it's good weather, but I can't. Maybe we convert on that 4th and the drive stays alive, and something happens. Maybe a few of the off throws and dropped passes don't happen and we move down field better. You can talk maybes all day, but that goes both ways. At the end of the night, it was hard moving against the defense, they were pressing up front not giving time for plays to develop, good coverage, shutting down the run, all around good defense on glenville. All the mistakes and penalties didn't help us either. Gotta give props to them.

Glenville needs to get their s**t together on offense. First of all, why is #3 on the sideline for half of the offensive plays? Why did they run that QB so much? He clearly has no interest in getting hit. Multiple plays where it looked like no one knew what the play call was.

He clearly has no interest getting hit at all. There were multiple plays where it looked like no one on the field knew what the play call was. And why would you attempt a 30+ yard FG into a driving rainstorm? Glenville was their own worst enemy tonight as they were against WB

some 40 year old warehouse worker talking about high school kids being angry for a game. It’s the final 4. Clown 😂😂😂

2 300lb O-Lineman

Speaking of 2300lb linemen check out #75 on the roster below. Biggest Lineman I've ever seen! :)

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I would have run behind him every play!

Mooney opened with Upper St. Clair at YSU that year. The OL/DL listed above had already committed to Penn St. and we had heard about him. I got there early and had not looked at my program yet when I saw Paul Potina, may he rest in peace as he passed away in August. Paul was a starting lineman on Mooney's 1st undefeated team.

I asked him what he thought about the upcoming game and he said "We are in big trouble." I asked why he thought so and he said "that big dude they have is going to blow up everything." Mooney had a good OL and a great blocking upback out of the Stacked-I that they ran and I told him I thought they would be able to handle him enough to move the ball. He said "look in the program." I said I don't have to look at it I know about that Bisson kid, he's a OL/DL and he's going to Penn St. etc. With a dead serious straight face he just kept telling me to look in the program. Finally, just to get him off my back I looked at the program and saw Jason Bisson 6'8" 2300 lbs. Still with that straight face he said "How the hell are we going to move him? I'm telling you we are in serious trouble tonight!" I can't post any of what my response was. :)

😂😂😂 2,300 lbs. I would have stayed in the locker room or maybe even on the bus 🤣

I was really pulling for WB to play Perry that game would have been really fun.
Well according to a lot of the people on here WB would have smoked Perry and probably had a running clock. Lol. To your other question, I'm not sure we're as good next year, we're losing a lot. Moses is gonna be hard to replace, sivon, mckoon, howard, chipponne, a lot of good players are graduating this year. We do have a few really good juniors and a lot of talent in our freshman and sophomore class coming up, but I think it may take another year for the younger ones to develop. Perry has an excellent coaching staff though, they will have these boys prepared the best they can.
