This is the type of history I think you look for when you speak of an "all-time program". A couple years ago I started a similar thread about "Top 5 programs" (https://yappi.com/forum/index.php?threads/top-5-all-time-basketball-programs-in-ohio.332529/ ). And while I am quite clearly a STVM homer, I had a difficult time putting them in Top 5 since their success has been largely over a 20-year period; which is impressive, but maybe not long enough to be an "all-time program". A history like Delphos St. John's (or the 4 I did list - Canton McKinley, Akron Central Hower, Middletown and Portsmouth) shows consistent success over decades!Delphos St. John's
All time record: 1572-817 105 years of basketball, average 15 wins per year 65.8% winning percentage
Final Fours in the 1920's(1), 1940's (1), 1950's (1), 1970's (1), 1980's (2), 1990's (3), 2000's (2) and 2010's (1)
12 Final Fours tied for 7th all time in Ohio
3 State titles 1 of only 29 schools in Ohio with 3 or more state titles
I think in another year or so Canton McKinley will be saying something again. Once Weatherspoon has had time to get his system into place. This is the type of history I think you look for when you speak of an "all-time program". Got to start keeping the really good players from leaving to get back to being really good again.I think in another year or so Canton McKinley will be saying something again. Once Weatherspoon has had time to get his system into place.
