Canton McKinley won 3 State Championships. Won around 10 runner-ups and went to the State over 20 times.

McKinley won a TON of Regional and District Championships.

I wonder what ohiopup would say? WAIT he did say Canton McKinley has the greatest basketball program of all-time.

He had all the stats and facts to go with it.Sorry to hear of his passy away. For both his family and friends and Bulldog nation.

This is the type of history I think you look for when you speak of an "all-time program". A couple years ago I started a similar thread about "Top 5 programs" (https://yappi.com/forum/index.php?threads/top-5-all-time-basketball-programs-in-ohio.332529/ ). And while I am quite clearly a STVM homer, I had a difficult time putting them in Top 5 since their success has been largely over a 20-year period; which is impressive, but maybe not long enough to be an "all-time program". A history like Delphos St. John's (or the 4 I did list - Canton McKinley, Akron Central Hower, Middletown and Portsmouth) shows consistent success over decades!

I think in another year or so Canton McKinley will be saying something again. Once Weatherspoon has had time to get his system into place.

Got to start keeping the really good players from leaving to get back to being really good again.

St. Henry 4 state titles ( I believe over 1400 wins). One of 3 MAC schools to have won 3 or more state titles in boys bball (ST. Henry, Marion Local, DSJ (2 as a MAC member).

Rayen is prominently mentioned toward the end of this article. Lorain Catholic was a small school power at a time when basketball in Lorain County was absolutely amazing. We were spoiled.
