I believe the more likely option for Lucas will be either Collinwood or Cleveland JFK Week 1. I don't think Richmond Heights is fielding a team this season. Last year, Lincoln West didn't play until Week 4.

Ditto for Week 2 with Cuyahoga Heights. Swap JFK for East Tech.

Week 8, Canfield/John Adams IS a possibility, but not a likely one.
 
Ugh why do some of these teams like Massillon not have an opponent for week 8 yet and when do we have to have one by

What are you even asking? Why Massillon doesn't have a week 8 opponent? And who do you expect them to play? John Adams? Massillon could name the score against everyone that is open week 8 in Ohio. They will likely need to play someone in PA, WV, IN, KY or MI or wait for a last minute cancelation after the season has already started.

Either is fine with me whether it's John Adams or a neighboring state team I live 5 min walk from the stadium I want to go to each game lol

Well if it is a neighboring state the game may be away, so good luck walking through the Appalachian mountains or hundreds of miles to the game if they even get one for week 8.

Great place to see a game though for any Lucas fans making the trip.



Smethport are the Hubbers. They play at Smethport Area Stadium behind the high school.



It's east of Warren, PA and there's a few main ways to get to Smethport. The likely trip would be to take I-86 into New York and then cut down somewhere around Salamanca, and take US219 down to PA59 into town. You can take PA46 from Bradford. But 219 and 59 are much better routes through the mountains. West of US219, is Kinzua Dam and Kinzua Viaduct.


See what happens when a tornado hits what was once the tallest railroad bridge in the world.


And 59 before reaching Warren passes along the Kinzua Reservoir and the Kinzua Dam.

The stadium was one of my favorites. All of the Allegheny National Forest area teams tend to have a nice stadium and great view.

Awesome stuff, brother. I'd love to go, but it is a bit out of the way. If I had a kind playing still, I'd be there in a heartbeat. GO CUBS.

This makes 2 out of state opponents for my Cubs that have state titles.

Is it correct that this game has been canceled? I ask because Joe Eitel is pretty good at updating team schedules when games get added or canceled and his site still shows this game as happening. Moeller's athletic website still has it listed on their football schedule as well

Benedictine in GA has no game listed that weekend on their site

Apparently the time of this game was changed from 1pm to 4pm or vice versa. The Georgia team canceled because of the time change. I think I read where the promoter of this Ironton event where this was 1 of 3 games like the event Canton/ Massillon had last year was suing the Georgia school because of the money deal was already contracted.

It's the game guy involved with Bishop Sycamore and a bunch of other events.

Think maybe he was just desperate. Our source is the school. They don't have a game for next weekend. That may change, obviously. But there's no game planned.
