No I think the authors of the articles got confused
Which is easy enough to do when talking about IMG
 
And they played img twice in two different seasons
One lose one win
Neither game was against imgs national team

More games than any top 3 team
beat 3 top 25 teams
That’s more or the same as the top 3 teams
Almost outscored all of the 3 top teams
Allowed less points then the top 3 teams
Seems like a lot of boxes are checked 🤷‍♂️
 
It’s wild how much different maxpreps top 25 is compared to the first 25 of hsfa’s top 300
I’m sure as the season progresses the rankings will almost mirror each other as normal
 
Will apparently for HSFA last season matters
Seeing as we are 11th there
No clue where we are in the top 100 of maxpreps could be 26th for all I know

Seems to me these rankings favor the California, Texas and Florida schools. Not saying they dont deserve their ranking. I personally think over the last 6 years or so StEds, Hoban and Massillon could have gone toe to toe with any of those states best teams. Again this is just my opinion. We will have to see how it plays out this year. Massillon and Hoban both play Eds, Massillon also plays Bergen Catholic. Eds plays St Joseph prep who is always in the top 10 in the national polls. Hoban plays 4 out of state teams. one is ranked in the top 100 national prep poll.

Right on. The goal for any team is win a state championship. That you have control over. Rankings in these polls teams have no control over and they are very subjective.

I just figure for the most part the higher the rank the brighter the lights on our town and team
Just another way to get recruits attentions maybe a couple more or maybe better scholarships
And one day if we get lucky the 10th national title
A boy can dream right? 😂
 
Oh Emy Louis went to pick north thought he was an alliance kid 🤷‍♂️
I really didn’t know just assumed I guess, but he going to be with that other kid mentioned a few pages back
Maybe that’s where the confusion about him coming here came from
That would make sense

The National team which travels all over the nation. They also have 2 varsity teams (Blue and White). White plays top Florida teams along with some out of state and International Competition. Blue plays lower tier competition just in the state of Florida. 4th team is post grad.

We should schedule some of them teams next year and beat them to show maxpreps their rankings are wrong.
