2022 Cleveland Browns Thread

Stefanski is doing something right for a change. He realizes that the game is lost, so he's trying to make sure Chubb gets 1,500.

On whatever pregame show has Hanford Dixon, a couple weeks ago they ran a clip of Watson saying he was struggling with the precise timing required in the Stefanski offense with the five and seven step drop backs. If the timing is off, even slightly, the receiver will be in the wrong spot and the play ruined. That’s a slim margin of error, and Watson said it was something he was never asked to do in Houston…where he showed off his talent and ability at QB. Upon hearing that, Hanford Dixon’s suggestion was to ignore the coach and do what you did that made you a successful QB your entire life.

Goodbye Kevin. Seriously. Watson is the investment, not Stefanski.

Cribbs and Langhorne are saying the same thing right now. Stefanski needs to adjust to Watson, not the other way around.

He probably ran his bar tab at the stadium too high, as well.
I posted this since now that gambling is legal most everywhere, it’s ironic that they punish Bernie when the NFL pregame shows are sponsored by gambling websites, and the hosts tell you what bets to place each week.

Bernie has more leadership qualities in his left nut than anybody in Berea.

Last thing I heard from Boomer and Simms before kickoff today was their FanDuel picks of the day.

Exactly.

For a league that has been accused of fixing games for as long as I can remember, you’d think they would know better.

It’s all about the $$$$$$$$$$

Bingo. Square peg in round hole.

So let’s see…

You have a very talented, mobile QB who has thrived in the gun and you are turning him into a drop back pocket passer.

You have the best RB duo in the league, but you underutilize them.

You supposedly have a TE-centric offense, yet your TE’s are rarely productive.

You hired Woods.

You hired Priefer.

You nearly always get outcoached in the second half of every game.

Remind me again why the Browns are going to run it back with Stefanski in 2023?
This conversation reminds me of an argument that helped hasten Amari Cooper's exit from Dallas where he told Dak Prescott that he was "the black Kirk Cousins.". LOL.

Trade Watson for Tua, Tua's game is all about timing.

Next year's opponents. One thing that Browns' fans must NOT do is to get caught up in any hype or spin coming out of Berea. Just presume that nothing will change and they will fail to make the playoffs next year. Make them prove their optimism to us. If not, we are all suckers........again.

This is an incredible stat. Yes, since the modern NFL really began with the AFL/NFL merger starting in 1970 the Steelers have been the best franchise in the NFL, while the Browns have managed to win just five playoff games during those 52 seasons…less than one every decade…I didn’t realize the Steelers have finished ahead of the Browns every season since 1989. Sad and amazing at the same time.

I would bet you couldn’t find a team that would take Denzel in a trade, even if the Browns only asked for a 7th rounder, if they had to assume his entire contract.
He would probably have to be the missing piece in the right place to make a liar out of you.

Not uncommon.
