2018 Division I Schedules

Would be no reason to gripe over a 1 year opponent playing at Mentor. I'd never schedule away without getting a return game. Eds might be desperate enough which is why I asked.

Mentor may as well start getting a million move ins. We already have to schedule like we are a private school in football

Gahanna Lincoln vs Springboro

Springboro @ Gahanna Lincoln week 3.....per Arbiter

.......last week Arbiter had Lincoln playing Columbus Marion Franklin and Springboro @ Reynoldsburg.....looks like a flip here...

......right now Arbiter has Gahanna Lincoln @ Hartley, Sept. 6, 2019.....
08/24 ASpringfield
08/31 HColumbus St. Francis DeSales
09/07 AHilliard Darby
09/14 HNewark
09/21 AUpper Arlington
09/28 AGrove City
10/05 HPickerington Central
10/12 HGahanna Lincoln
10/19 APickerington North
10/26 HReynoldsburg

Only one D3 school (Desales) which is a traditional playoff team

The rest of the schedule is D1 schools with 4 being playoff teams (Darby, Central, North. And Gahanna) in 2017.

Last 5 games of the season are OCC-Ohio games. Will be another tough year for Lancaster and they will have to play great football in hopes to making the playoffs.

Good Counsel is pretty grumpy about this, and calling out Ed on the Twitter.

Due to a unexpected cancellation by St Edwards #GC will be scheduling a new week 0 opponent on 8/24

If this is grumpy... I hate to see if what it would if they were really mad....

I like the Cass Tech pickup...very good Detroit public school....in the hunt for state titles always lots of D1 prospects. They are the Glenville of the Early 2000's. Schedule is from Arbiter.Mentor is a 2 year deal

08/31 H Detroit Cass Technical (MI)
09/08 H Washington Woodson, Howard D. (DC)

GC was trying to get into the event at Woodland Hills PA that weekend and St Ed wasn't interested. Not sure you can say St Ed was at fault.

Austin-East Tennessee @ Huber Heights Wayne

not sure if this will be a Friday or Saturday game....
Anyone know why Lorain is scheduling the Canadians for two consecutive games? Are they really having that much difficulty scheduling locally?

They seemed to give Toledo Whitmer a pretty good game in the first round of the playoffs this year. It may be worth their while to play one of the "big boys" like Mentor/Eds/Ignatius. Hell, I say even play some hardball to take advantage of their desperation for games, and ask for a 2-for-1 deal.

Lorain was very senior dominated last year with roughly 50 kids on the roster. They do return some special kids in the younger Downer and Lighty but lose just about everyone upfront on both sides, including the unblockable Wyatt, and their LBers. That coach did/does a really good job with those kids but playing a giant Catholic, especially early, would not do them any favors this season.
