My Ratings: 67.093

Best Song: Uusi teknokratia [76.6]

Psychedelic Black Metal

Did not know this was a possible genre.... how can Black Metal be Psychedelic? OK, this was an interesting album which I enjoyed the first 3 tracks but could not stand the last 3... there was no in between here. I am not convinced of this genre this was more a Dark Ambient/Avant-Garde form of Black Metal in my opinion..... or more simply Atmospheric.

Like Rats - Death Monolith (2020)

My Ratings: 74.380
Rank: 812 (out of 1787)

Best Song: Death Monolith [79.0]

Death Metal

This one has a more old school death sound to it. A couple of really good tracks as I also really liked the track "Foul Wind". A more brutal death vocal sound on some tracks are a bit of a turn off for me but the rest of it is really solid and I will check out more by this band though I believe they were more a Metalcore/Sludge metal band in their previous albums.

Katatonia - City Burials (2020)

My Ratings: 71.292
Rank: 1319 (out of 1788)

Best Song: Neon Epitaph [76.0]

Gothic/Progressive/Alternative Rock/Metal

This one debut's at #2 on Metal Blade. I've heard a previous album by them and did not like it but noticed that they had changed genre's since then so I wanted to know what all the fuss was about. Well, the Death Doom is gone and now we have a more Progressive Goth sound which is fine. While I liked this album better it would not be one that I would listen to again but if a song came on I would not turn the station.....

Peter Frampton - Frampton Comes Alive! (1976)

My Ratings: 78.726
Overall Rank: #340

Best Song: Show Me The Way [97.0]

Rock

I believe this is the most selling Live album of all time..... while I have never listened to it all the way through I have heard several of the live tracks before especially the ones that are on the radio. There was a stretch of 4 tracks near the end that kept this one from being a great live album for me.

<Live Album>

The Allman Brothers - At Fillmore East (1971)

My Ratings: 77.842
Overall Rank: #405

Best Song: Statesboro Blues [85.6]

Southern/Blues Rock

This was the original 7 track recording at over 78 minutes long. This was just one big jam session!

<new release>

The Sonic Dawn - Enter the Mirage (2020)

My Ratings: 76.160
Rank: 520 (out of 1797)

Best Song: Enter the Mirage [77.0]

Stoner/Psychedelic Rock

Enjoyed this album and it will only get better with multiple listens..... added this one to my digital collection.

From the band: "We created Enter the Mirage to be experienced as a full album. The songs make sense in each other’s company. So far it has been very positively received, with fans ripping the LPs off our shelves and many overwhelming reviews already. Shindig Magazine called it “A modern psych classic and early contender for album of the year.” Enter the Mirage is not only a record intended for the diehard acid rockers, though. We hope that many different folks will give in to their natural curiosity and take a 38 minute high-volume stroll through the mirror with us. Come on in, friend, the water is fine!"

<Live Album>

The Band - Rock of Ages (1972)

My Ratings: 75.135
Overall Rank: #774

Best Song: The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down [89.0]

Roots Rock

This was the original 18 track one. Liked most of it but there was about 4 tracks I did not care for that dragged the average down. Some songs I liked better than the studio version but not my favorite song by The Band which is nearly flawless on the studio version.

My Ratings: 74.912
Rank: 722 (out of 1798)

Best Song: Spires of Winter [82.6]

My first time hearing this band. Starts off with a bang but then quickly dwindles to an average metal album....

<Live Album>

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - Nine Tonight (1981)

My Ratings: 81.648
Overall Rank: #186

Best Song: Night Moves [86.0]

Rock

Even though this one does not have my favorite Seger tune "Turn the Page" I felt I would like this one better than the other that was suggested. This was a great live album!
