There are 7 teams. Each team has 1 bye week. 7 x 1 = 7. Weeks 4-10 are the last 7 weeks of the season. The NOL had 7 teams in 2002 and again from 2013-2016. I know how this works.

With 7 teams you have byes in weeks 4-10. Weeks 6-10 would be a 5 team league.
