One might reasonably guess that these decisions are made by MCSD administration. Why BoxCast? Maybe the FanVu deal was regular season only. Why $12 and no replays? Ask at the next BC meeting. ;)

Ya know, there are quite a few folks who live out of town who still watch the games. For those who live out west (and there are more than a couple), firing up the game at 4:00 PST can be problematic. For them, the "no replays" policy is a major inconvenience. Hell, even folks who went to the game sometimes want to rewatch and review and are willing to drop the $12 to do so. It would be interesting to see the geographic distribution of the streamers as well as when the games are being watched (live, replay, etc.). Will that info be made available? Doubtful.
I assume the OHSAA doesn't allow FanVu for the playoffs. Similar to when the schools ran the broadcasts themselves and had to do audio only for playoff games, at least that's how Eds and Ignatius had to do it.

I love FanVu as a concept and hope it actually works consistently next year. But I would gladly go back to paying for streams all the time if I knew I could get a solid stream and be able to rewatch it.

For geographic distribution, I know a few people that watch Eds games in the UK and Ireland (kickoff at midnight there!). It's much more widespread than you'd think. I would love to see the data on it for a team like Massillon as well.

Who gets the $12 ? The OHSAA takes ALL the ticket money .

What's up with 990am WTIG stream just going to 3 minutes of commercials right in the middle of a drive. Jeski is hard enough to listen too.

This a perfect example to go back to top 8!! With money so tight in School districts how much money did Licking Hieghts lose to drive to Massillon for a game they had zero chance to even compete in let along win!! JS

Sure look like they competed to me. I was at the game and I'm sure they felt good only down two TDs at half and getting the ball to start the second half. I agree they were out of their league but this sure wasn't some insane blowout. It took till 10 minutes left in the 4th for the running clock. They did a lot better than most thought they would

Kumbieaw...they laugh at steubenville and spew the worst about reno..keep tryin to fit in.
Fit in? I have many friends from Massillon, do business in Massillon and respect those folks. I don’t need to try and fit in anywhere. I’ve fit in everywhere I’ve been my entire life. So take your sorry as drivel somewhere else. Your weak bro, soft, weak, and irrelevant.

Massillon fans aren't going to care about that

To be honest, I thought that Heights played well for only trotting out only 35 players against over 100. 7-6 at the end of 1st. 21-6 at half. Didnt surrender a running clock til the 4th. Massillon was definitely the better team, but I didn't leave believing that Heights played the defending State Champions tonight. Good luck against Canal. Hope those guys that got hurt get healrhy.

If we don't adjust some personnel upfront we won't get to the title game. Last week McKinley played well upfront and have some size and speed. It's a rivalry game I told myself. And Tonight I give them some credit as well for playing hard but if that's the best we have without attempting to move some guys around, I know it sounds crazy to do at this point of the year, but this season will end in disappointing fashion I'm afraid. I love the kids and I know they're giving everything they got but the 5 seniors can't be the guys upfront going forward. I thought by now they would be much improved but I just don't see it. And it's not just one of them it's the whole as a unit. I know it's easy for me to sit here and say this or that but let's be honest you have to win in the trenches to at least give yourself a good shot at putting up some points and winning as we move forward. As I say all of that, the entire offense has to be better from play calling to execution and so on. I hope they figure it out and make me eat every bit of this. Regardless, I'll continue to be there supporting them like I always do. It's Massillon Always win or lose.

On a positive note we did win and advance tonight. Defense played pretty well for the most part. On to round 2. Hopefully next we get a couple of our guys back. Hats off to the kids filling in for two of our starters/Divison 1 offered kids. Go Tigers!

Licking height's played tough and Massillon had a slow start. I don't know why you didn't believe you played the defending state champs. Last year in the first round Massillon beat the #16 seed Central Crossing by the same exact score as they won by tonight 41-6 and won the State Championship. I mean how many points should Massillon of won by to get your approval??

Defense solid as Always, Offense slow start tonight for sure and O-line suspect as usual. Your right we don't make it to the title game especially if we play like we did in the first half. I think if we play like this Big Walnut will take us out especially if they have a passing game. It you can pass you can move the ball on Massillon. They gave up a couple long passes to any team that can throw this year. Still the defense overall remains solid when it comes to not giving up many points

Was just going to post the same thing, same score as last year and also didn’t have a running clock till the 4th. Was it a perfect game of course not but try getting 16-18 year olds to be amped up to play a horrible team the week after mck. Keep winning is all that matters.

Exactly 💯 as long as they don't come out flat week after week,we should be ok. I'm sick of getting burned on the deep ball but hey we only gave up 6 points

It’s high school you are going to get beat on some deep balls here and there. The next 2 weeks should be very similar to this week, in terms of a running clock and minimal competition.

Bro come on. I've seen a lot of tiger football as im sure so have you. Not every tiger defense gets burned on the deep ball consistently. It's every week when a team throws deep we get burnt on a couple. We are going to be in trouble when we play a good team that throws 45 times a game. We gave up roughly 230 yards passing to a 4-6 team with their 4th string QB. Trust me we don't wanna face Molten from Walsh. Plus he has wheels too
