True, but various "championships" go back into the early 80s, if not before, at least according to my research.
Those meets were known as the "Ohio Elite Classic" and other names until 2005. I also have research going back to the first half of the 20th century indicating other meets were known as "Ohio Championships" for indoor T&F.
