The newly revamped volleyball teams in the Nothcoast League consist of the following volleyball powers.

St Joseph Academy 2017 D1 Finalist
St Thomas Aquanis 2017 D4 Finalist
Lake Catholic 2017 D2 State Semi
Padua 2017 D2 State Semi
Gilmour D3 2015 State Champs
VASJ D4 2012 State Champs
Beaumont D2 2012 State Champs
NDCL 2015 D2 State Champs

Plus Walsh Jesuit and Hoban.....who in the past have brought home a trophy from Dayton

All the NCL Blue schools made their District finals with the 2 that lost being dealt that L by another NCL school. MAC making a case for the dominate conference in the small school divisions too, aren't most of those schools made up of heavily catholic student bodies? Maybe the Vatican has a pipeline to the big JC when it comes to volleyball :)
 
The MAC has 10 members in Volleyball, 9 of those teams have made it to the State Final Four. The only team that hasn’t made it is Delphos St. John’s, the only private school in the MAC. All of these communities are rural farming communities, very large Catholic population.

Coldwater: 2 State participation’s
Fort Recovery: 1990 State Champs, 1 participation
Marion Local: 7 participation’s, 5 championships
Minster: 3 participation’s
New Bremen: 1st time at State this year
New Knoxville: 2 participation’s
Parkway: 4 participation’s, 2 championships
St. Henry: 14 participation’s, 7 championships
Versailles: 5 participation’s, 1 championship

MAC schools are 22-1 in tournament this year against non-conference competition. 9 of the 10 teams were ranked during the season. Very dominant conference in the small divisions!

Most impressive part is these are all with homegrown kids in a very rural area!
 
MAC schools IMO hands down have the best small school sports in the state. They manage to keep their athletes at home, and have always had a strong sense of tradition.....

Outside of 1 program the NCL schools are also using homegrown kids too but in this case it is CYO players from an urban area with many girls following their family tradition to these schools.
 
I know nothing about the Cleveland area and don’t doubt that to be true. MAC volleyball seems special in the fact you have most of these schools within 5-10 miles of their neighboring communities and yet they can produce so much talent withb30-45 girls in a grade.
 
The MAC just had New Bremen dominate a 3 set match to win one final and right now Coldwater and Versailles are tied in the 5th set of another final.
