(1-7) O-G at Defiance (5-3)
(6-2) St. Marys at Bath (0-8)
(4-4) Elida at Van Wert (7-1)
(1-7) Kenton at Shawnee (2-6)
(7-1) Wapak at Celina (6-2)

Game of the week is Wapak at Celina, Celina will finish its home schedule with a shot at the last league unbeaten. I just realized Celina is ahead of St. Marys in the standings, that's crazy. Van Wert will be hoping for a Celina win, as those two are one game back of Wapak. I could also see a couple other games being close, and Elida needs to beat Van Wert to make the playoffs.

Last week was the first struggle in a while as more people went 3-2 than anything else. Out of 22 people, 16 got 3 games right and six got 4 games right. Wapak, St. Marys, and Van Wert were easy unanimous wins, while two people went with Celina over Defiance, and only four won with Shawnee over O-G. 4-1 records helped buckeye1689 move up into a tie for 2nd, and StateChampion2012 move into a tie for 5th, heading into the final two weeks. But it might be tough for anyone even two games back to finish in at least a tie for first, with so few competitive games left.

Defiance - I feel like O-G can keep it close with defense, but I'll give Defiance just enough for its final win of the season.
St. Marys - if a running clock could exist before halftime, it would here.
Van Wert - Elida's 4 wins still have just 3 wins between them.
Shawnee - Kenton's only close game all year was apparently its 20-6 win over Bath.
Wapak - Top two defenses in the league? Celina has given up only 34 points total after the first two games against powerhouses. Wapak has given up a little more, albeit against better competition. How did this game not make Yappi's weekly challenge list of games? The last 6 weeks' worth of scores have almost all single digits in the defensive side for both teams. I'll go with the program that's more seasoned at winning, right now.

(1-7) O-G at Defiance (5-3) - Could be close, but I think Defiance wins this one.
(6-2) St. Marys at Bath (0-8) - Shouldn't be close. Over by halftime
(4-4) Elida at Van Wert (7-1) - Might be closer than people think, but still a mismatch
(1-7) Kenton at Shawnee (2-6) - Two struggling teams. I think Shawnee struggles less in this one and comes out with a win.
(7-1) Wapak at Celina (6-2) - Great to see this game be competitive. Wapak will need to come prepared and ready for a dog fight, pun not intended, going to Celina. Celina could have a nice home field advantage if the Celina faithful show out on Friday. I think Wapak is just a little too strong for Celina and Wapak wins a close one.

Defiance - Don't remember the last time Defiance beat OG.
St. Marys - Could be ugly
Van Wert - Still best team in league
Shawnee - Seem to be a little better
Wapak - Would be surprised if not a close game.

OK. This week's picks are strictly based on the standings of the contest. Down by one, if you play for second, you'll end up second!

Here's the season for Cavman.

(1-7) O-G at Defiance (5-3)
(6-2) St. Marys at Bath (0-8)
(4-4) Elida at Van Wert (7-1)
(1-7) Kenton at Shawnee (2-6)
(7-1) Wapak at Celina (6-2) - Forced upset pick, here it is. Like I said, if you play for second, you'll end up second. That one's for you Nash.

Next week has some interesting matchups, too. Come on, Dawgs!

(4-4) Elida at Van Wert (7-1)
(1-7) Kenton at Shawnee (2-6)

Defiance - if Shawnee beat O-G, then I have to believe Defiance will too
St Marys Memorial - blowout city for Bath
Van Wert - Elida doesn't have the firepower to keep up and their defense not as good as Wapak's to shut them down
Shawnee - taking them at home against Kenton
Wapak - by 14 against Celina

lol. I made my picks earlier than usual to give the others a chance. I just looked ahead to next week though and dang, there could be as many as 3 competitive games?
