Game of the week: Well it's gotta be Wapak at Van Wert, right? They maybe played the game of the year in the WBL last year. Loser picks up their second league loss and likely loses a chance at a title share. Bath has two league losses already but could have an intriguing game against Elida, and if Kenton's QB is on, could it have a shot at Celina? Meanwhile, Defiance plays its 4th out of 5 games this year against an opponent with no wins, and with still three winless teams on the season, St. Marys & O-G look to get out of last place.

Last week was the best week since week 1 for predictions - most people went 4-1, six people went 3-2, and dhsdog06 had the only perfect record. But there were only 17 people that made picks, with one new person and 3 more people from the all-week list didn't pick, so the 15 people left on that list as of week 5 has to be the fewest in many years. There were two games that were not unanimous, and people took turns missing each one until just before the end of the thread, dhsdog06 managed to nail them all. Three people did pick Kenton to upset Bath and it took a Hail Mary for that to happen, while almost even was Van Wert as a 9-8 favorite over Defiance. So the consensus went 4-1, with Bath being the loss. As for the standings, dhsdog06 leapfrogged *67's 3-2 record to move into first place alone, but *67 is still in 2nd place alone, in front of a group of five in third place. I feel like after the halfway point of the season this week, we’ll know a lot about everyone & the picks should get easier, meaning less chances to move up the standings.

Bath - Just a hunch.
Wapak - Will do better job of stopping VW QB than Defiance
Celina - Could be their year
Defiance - Bounce back
St. Marys - Toss up. Can't believe both are 0-4.

I usually don't get around to doing this until later in the week but I'm all set up now.
Elida over Bath - well, the Bulldogs have beaten two teams by more than/or that Bath lost to. I'm starting to think Elida is better than we thought, or expected.
Wapak over Van Wert - Wapak hasn't given up any points in the last 10 quarters. Its offense isn't great so far, but Van Wert's defense is suspect. This one could be close - both in points scored and in picks.
Celina over Kenton - In my original post I wondered if Kenton could have a chance if its QB is on. While Kenton is better than we thought, I'm still not going to pick that upset.
Defiance over Shawnee - I would like to say that maybe finally Defiance should have an easy, game-long win, but Shawnee's defense is good enough to keep it in most games.
St. Marys over O-G - The Riders are having a rare down year, but I think it's apparent that O-G is the worst team in the league right now.
