Ok guys both teams are coming off loses last night. Fitch to Ursuline and Perry to Jackson
(31-13). Whom the Falcons beat in week 2 ( 27-17). Thoughts gentlemen?

The Ursuline game was complete debacle. There is no way we should have gotten beaten like that. The worst part about going to see the game is I went with two Ursuline fans and stopped by The Golden Dawn after the game. The one guy I was with asked one of Ursuline's coaches what happened with Fitch, and he just made a talking motion with his fingers and said they are just too undisciplined. And you know what, he is right. Fitch has more than enough talent on the field to compete with anyone in DII. They just can't blow assignments and miss blocks like they did in that game. I don't know about Perry because I haven't seen them. What I do know is that Perry will punch Fitch in the mouth. Fitch is going to need to respond. They did not against Ursuline. We might just be too talented for Perry, but they are tough. Some positive notes on the Ursuline game: I did like the big freshman at tackle. I watched him a few times, and he was holding his own. Get that kid in the weight room, and we are going to have a really great lineman. I did like when they ran the wing-T a couple of times. One time it went for big yardage and the other time it just got a couple, but they didn't go backwards. I would like to see more of that with this team. If Fitch is going to do anything, they are going to have to throw more. Tate does best when he is rolling out and throwing short passes. Ursuline put eight guys in the box and dared Fitch to throw. We couldn't do it. They will need to do something to loosen up the defenses they face. That game was just a horrible game all around. They are going to have to really have a gut check and see what type of a football they are.

Hey falguin on a very important note, how was the food at the Golden Dawn? Plan on stopping by when we're back in the area.
Very good. It's a throwback bar. One issue is that most of the tables were reserved, so you may want to reserve your table, but the Irish fans all over that bar. The bar was packed.

Ursuline’s style has a way of neutralizing any disadvantage that they may have. They “force the issue” and make you pay for the mistakes that they force. They make every play count on both sides of the ball. Very tough & well coached young men.

Losing to the Irish really makes you look in the mirror, which could be a blessing in disguise for Fitch moving forward. Perry is tough, but seemingly lacking momentum right now.

Good luck Falcons!

Thanks Worm. Good luck to you and the Raiders as well.

It depends which Perry team shows up. The one that beat Lake or the one that’s given up big plays the past two weeks and have made some critical mistakes by dropping open TD passes and making turnovers. The Panthers have talent, but haven’t played 4 quarters of good football to date. Be wary of the Panthers place kicker. He hit a 50 yarder against Lake and while he missed a 56 yard attempt against Jackson, it was plenty long enough, just wide left. Much respect to the Falcons program. Always play tough hard nosed football when I saw them play, while in the Federal League. I won’t be making the trip to Austintown this week, because my son is now a head coach at a D-6 school in Wayne County.

Thank you for your input. Much appreciated. Good luck to your son's team.

Both teams coming off losses and look to get back in the win column. Perry seems to have taken a step back after a great start. Hopefully the Falcons have learned a few things from last weeks beatdown and will be better from it. Looking at common opponents,I expect Fitch will take advantage of an edge in speed and athleticism, and after a tight first half, they will pull away in second half for a 27-10 victory! Good luck to both teams.
