Week 3- Green at Tallmadge

Almost time for another edition of this classic rivalry game. I'm glad it was brought back as an annual matchup last season. Last year's game was a thriller as Tallmadge gave up an early 17 point lead but still won in overtime on a two point conversion 47-46. This will be Green's first trip to Tallmadge since their 15-14 upset win to close out the 2014 season. The last 4 games of this series have been decided by a combined 12 points.

The 2-0 Bulldogs come into this game with all of the momentum after an impressive 21-7 victory over South Range a week ago. Tallmadge is 1-1 and seem to have a very good defense , but no longer have Ty Hurst or Colin Dixon to rely on offensively. Will the Blue Devil DBs be able to shut down Green receivers Zach Baglia and Antonio Martin? That, in my opinion, is the key question that will decide this game

I'll go with Green 24-10 but of course I'm biased. What say you?

I see this game going be really good and very close won't surprise if this game go to overtime should be a treat everyone comes out to see this one can see green pull this one out

Tallmadge has scored 12 points this year and ten of those were against a below average Ellet. Green managed to travel to South Range and win 21-7 and beat a usually solid Dover team. All due respect to the Blue Devils but this one won't be close.

Just from my impressions from only two games, I think Tallmadge's defense might be about the same as last year, maybe slightly better. The difference is in the offense. Tough to replace that much talent with so many inexperienced varsity players. Dixon was likely the best offensive player that Tallmadge has ever had. Hurst put up big numbers as QB. Replacing those two and the rest of a talented Senior class is tough.

Green seems to be hitting on all cylinders to start the season. IMO, this will be a tough game for Tallmadge to keep up. Hoping that the Tallmadge defense can contain Green better than last year and the offense can put together a few productive drives.

I hope Green's offense can get into a good rhythm against Tallmadge's strength...their defense.

Green's Defense will not be tested. They have been great this year. Tallmadge's offense has been below average to bad. Green's D will give their offense plenty of possessions.

I would love to see the Bulldog offense put up 40+ points, and I know they have the skill to do it. There have been too many possessions where they move the ball across midfield but come away empty. It sure would be great to start fast and head into halftime on Friday with a 3-4 TD lead, but that means minimizing mistakes and getting the most out of every possession.

My fear is that they’ll be overconfident after last week’s win, get caught looking ahead to league play, and come out flat. Need to stay disciplined even for an easier game. Last year against Louisville was supposed to be a sure win and a nice break from league play, but it didn’t quite turn out that way.

Green lacks a running game as is usually the case, they just never have that stud RB. This will hurt them come Fed play. But they should take care of
Tallmadge easily.

Injuries are starting to mount up for Tallmadge. Hearing two starters are out for the season. Both played major roles on offense and defense.

1 - Main parking lot. Most likely can park here.
2 - Overflow at the Rec Center.
3- Great spot to park but fills up fast.
4- Across the street at a church. Not sure how fast fills up as they have a tailgate there.

You should be fine in the main parking lot but it is youth night so that might fill up fast as there are alot of first time fans at these games.

For handicap, there are two lots on the Northside of the school. Not sure how to get in there but they do have police directing traffic there.

There are 4 entrances to the high school. One on East Ave and three on Munroe Rd. Do not enter the middle one on Munroe unless you can use handicap parking.

Green side is mostly filled. Tallmadge should be filled when the youth football players get in the stands.
