talking about field, not uniformsI read it as the home team for the matchup, regardless of the venue or neutral site.

Sometimes a great start leads to a stall?I was a little curious why the Hudson game was close... Didn't get a chance to watch the game. Saw it was 28-7 @ half.
First time I saw Hudson play. Judy was a pretty good QB. They put some nice long drives together, but it seemed like Walsh wore them out. I was impressed with Hudson overall.I was across the street at CVCA vs Chardon. Still can't believe Chardon lost.
But I met some Walsh friends out after the game at that bar right down the street from both schools. Their assessment was the Walsh team had a great game plan but didn't adjust when Hudson got down and started throwing the ball. They said that Alexander pretty much got outcoached but that Walsh's overall better talent and depth made the difference. Also said that Hudson surprised with the way they didn't give up. They expected them to roll over like they did last year. I was there to witness that one myself.
Wished I could give you more, but I'm going on second hand info here and haven't been able to find a replay online for free. I hate the OHSAA broadcast rules. I love to watch parts of different games online during the week. If anyone can find one, please let me know. I'd also be interested in watching Hoban's game against Lake.

I got the feeling that if Walsh didn’t score on their last TD drive, Aiden Henry would have come into the game on defense.Walsh has been very vanilla on offense, running the ball and holding certain starters out for their health the past two weeks. I expect the plan will be more of the same unless they really have to open the playbook. I imagine Aiden Henry will be back on Friday.
And cheap drinks.Wing Warehouse has a hell of a selection of flavors!
Agree. I wasnt too keen on Walsh playing them TBH.Hudson had some nice wins and some mind blowing losses. Didn't seem like your typical Hudson team that we've grown accustomed to seeing.
Thanks1 seed is home team throughout regions.
Great location for Walsh games (and CVCA). There was nothing around the schools when I was there and for years after.Wing Warehouse has a hell of a selection of flavors!
Well said.Walsh damn good. But AF don't take them lightly.
Well said.

Are they going to lose to Hoban? Calling your shot?Walsh plays for one more week. 35-10 Walsh.
Well said also. You don't get to this point in the season by taking any team lightly, that is for sure.
Walsh has done a good job of not looking past any opponent this season and has taken a week by week approach.
Hopefully they continue to do that.
I second that. Are they going to lose to Hoban? Calling your shot?
I don't want to put the cart in front of the horse, but that would be a hell of a re-match. The 1st game lived up to the expectations. It was a slobberknocker.I second that.
YesAre they going to lose to Hoban? Calling your shot?
What's the rationale behind the prediction?
Hoban speed. Walsh secondary issues. Hard to beat a team like Hoban and primary rival twice in a season. What's the rationale behind the prediction?

I agree with Hoban winning if they meet next week. My rationale being Hoban having the talent edge and the QB being more comfortable. Close game if it takes place, Knights by 7-13.Where were those things the 1st meeting?
It's certainly a possibility Hoban wins round 2 (if they get there), but I' not sure I buy those being the reasons.
Walsh led that game for 5/6 of the time on the clock.
Now that's a rationale I could get behind and hear out.I agree with Hoban winning if they meet next week. My rationale being Hoban having the talent edge and the QB being more comfortable. Close game if it takes place, Knights by 7-13.
That’s basically what I said. Hoban’s faster and Walsh’s secondary is average. Now that's a rationale I could get behind and hear out.

I agreeHudson was a good team. I can't explain some of their losses, but they had a 7 point 4th quarter lead against a really good Highland team and they were a missed FG at the end of regulation away from beating Wadsworth. They had an impressive win over Nordonia without their young RB. The QB really looked good at the end of the year. I am not surprised they had a competitive game against Walsh. Hudson returns most of their team next year so I wouldn't be surprised if Hudson and Walsh met for the 5th straight year in the playoffs.
