Way Too Early Ohio State Lineup

Saw on Twitter (X) today that Sammy Sasso is listed at 165 for the buckeyes (Link), so it got me thinking about tOSU's lineup this season and here's what I'm predicting:

125- Brendan McCrone
133- Nic Bouzakis
141- Jesse Mendez
149- Dylan D'emillio
157- Paddy Gallagher
165 - Sammy Sasso
174 - Rocco Welsh
184- Karson Kharchla
197- Ryder Rogotzke
285- Nick Feldman

The 165-197 Log jam is interesting because of guys like Geog, Shumate, and Hepner who are all starting level wrestlers who can win a match or 2 at NCAA's. Interested in the health of Kharchla, Sasso, and Gallagher moving forward.

125 - Kilkeary
133 - Bouzakis
141 - Mendez
149 - D'Emillio
157- Gallagher
165 - Hepner
174 - Welsh/Kharch
184 - Rogotzke/Welsh
197 - Geog/Shumate
285 - Feldman

I like McCrone, I believe Kilkeary gets the early starts and McCrone has to win the spot back. Hepner starts.
I have a hard time seeing Sasso at 65 or Kharch at 84. Maybe Rogotzke RS's and Welsh goes 84? Geog / Shumate
is a push for me.
65 to 97 depends on too many things to be sure of anything...

If healthy there's no way sasso isn't in the lineup

Tea leaves make it seem like Sasso will be back. Would be great if Rogotzke could go 97. I'd like to see him, Welsh, and Kharchla all in the lineup. Aside from Mendez I'm not that comfortable with our lighter weights. D'emilio is good but 149 is loaded. If the upper weights can perform this team can bring home a team trophy.

I have no inside info, but I'd like to see Paddy move up in weight. I wonder if the cut is too tough for him. He just does not look like he is having as much fun as he did when wrestling in high school. Then, he was a blast to watch even against the best competition. Going up benefitted Luke, Jesse, Nick Hef, Logan, and others. Could it help Paddy?

For those who know, is the cut tough on Paddy? TIA

The last time I spoke with Sammy he said he was feeling good. Still was having a little difficulty wrestling through a couple of positions but said he felt good working with Jesse. I think he sees the mat one way or the other, I don’t think he’s done.

Could be wrong but I do think this was in the plans at one point.

Although this doesn't fit this thread, I posted this here because while it is of interest to OSU wrestling fans I didn't think it is important enough for its own thread. I know some fans like to call every so often (mostly kiddingly) for Ryan to be fired.
