Vin Scully, Dodgers broadcaster for 67 years, dies at 94

In baseball, probably because of its slow nature, the announcer really does make a huge difference for me.

Listening to Marty and Joe, and then Marty and Thom, for decades. Years ago when we had XM radio you got only the home teams feed, and listening to the reds just wasnt the same when they were on the road.

Once Marty retired and Thommy got his peepee slapped for saying the ghey word it just lost all its luster and its been years since i listened.

Always loved Scully, just had that voice and would paint a perfect picture of what was going on. Loved listening to him on the national broadcasts as a kid.

Icon.
