UPDATED (3/17) 1928 State Results - Class A & Class B

In case anyone missed it, check out the Class B high jump and see if there's a famous Ohio HS track family name you recognize!

Update - Class C - I'm holding off publishing Class C results as I've been unable to resolve scoring issues and need more research. The problem seems to center around high jump results.

Regarding the 1928 Class C high jump, I present to all the winner of that competition, as well as the pole vault competition, Mr. Ray Suman of Lanier Township (Preble County).

Mr. Suman was a great all-around athlete for Lanier Township during the 1926-1928 era with bests of 5' 8 1/2" & 11' 8 1/2" in the high jump & pole vault, respectively. For the younger viewers here, this was during the days of cinder tracks (which existed well into the 1980s), of sawdust or sand landing pits (foam mats didn't come until the 1960s), and of bamboo vaulting poles with metal spiked tips. He was also a 20'+ broad jumper.

Note: In some newspaper results, he is reported as "John Suman". However, those reports were incorrect.
