I'm in the process of wrapping up the 1925 Class state results this weekend. There are many scoring errors throughout OHSAA & newspaper results of the day stemming from misreported results in the high jump and javelin throw. It's taken many hours to resolve the scoring issues.

However, I can report to KingHorn419 that he can add another NW Ohio athlete to the winner's circle: Harry Steele of Toledo Waite (senior) won the '25 javelin throw with a 169' 2 3/4" throw that would've been listed as a meet record saving from meet referee, Edward T. Cook (yes, that famed Chillicothe athlete & '08 co-Olympic PV champion), issuing the ruling that all event records were nixed due to "high winds". A silly and capricious ruling given the perspective of history.

Attached are the 1925 Class A state meet results as I've been able to compile and workout the scoring issues, which were massive due to the high jump & javelin throw results being incorrectly reported by OHSAA and a number of newspapers of the time.

Thanks for posting these 1925 results! Our records had Mr. Rolland as "Bolland" and omitted his HJ result.

Would you be interested in seeing our record files?

1925 Class B scoring issues are being reviewed and I should have a compilation out later this week. As with Class A, there are issues, but not as many.

Attached are the 1925 Class B state meet results as I've been able to compile and workout the scoring issues, which appear to apply to the incorrect inclusion of the mile relay results in some results, including those by OHSAA.

Here are those results:

Here are those results:
440yd/broad jump Pettibone = Robert Pettibone, 12th grade
Lee of Haviland in the 220yd hurdles is possibly named "Homer"
880yd Hall = DeForest Hall (a newspaper article also mention Charles Barber Jr. and Wesley Zorn of Vermilion participated in the meet)
North Baltimore Mile Relay = Kenneth Judd (9th), Orvil "Slip" Bayliss (11th), Clarence "Red" Jennings (12th), Merl "Zip" Kaufman (Underclassman)

more to come
