Logan's Power Hitters Prove Too Much as Teays Valley volleyball drops all three sets to the Chieftains (15-25, 15-25, 12-25).

Logan's offense, led by three powerful and consistent hitters, proved too much for the Vikings to handle. Teays Valley's offense committed 32 errors compared to Logan's 23. The Vikings' hitting percentage of .020 paled in comparison to Logan's impressive .386.

Despite the loss, several Vikings players delivered standout performances. Brianna Helser led the team with 9 kills on 14 attempts, boasting a .313 hitting percentage. Ellie Tatman had a perfect night, going 9/9 serving with 3 aces, 14/14 serve receive, 14 digs, and 3 assists. Emma Minton also served a perfect 9/9 with 1 ace, 7 assists, and 7 digs. Tessa Bradley contributed with 4/4 serving, 7 assists, and 5 digs.

Coach's thoughts: “We couldn't execute on offense because we were either making hitting errors in the net or out; we hit right to one of their players, or they would read and hustle to pick everything up; however, we're looking forward to tomorrow's match against Lancaster. We previously lost to them in 5 sets by just 2 points in the 5th set, and I believe we can compete with them if we show up, play together, and execute on both defense and offense." TV coach Amy Horsley said

The Teays Valley volleyball team will be at Lancaster Thursday, September 19th, for another OCC Buckeye League match-up. I will be on hand with score updates between the Gales hosting the Vikings.
