TV Girls Cross Country Makes History, Qualifies for Regionals
The Teays Valley girls cross country team put on an impressive show at the district meet on Saturday, securing a fourth-place finish and a spot in the regional competition.
District Meet Recap:
The Vikings were led by Katy Zang, who dominated the competition with a first-place finish and a course record time of 17:10. Reese Galinger and Addie Keplar continued to shine, placing 6th (18:46) and 17th (19:28), respectively. Rounding out the top 5 for TV were Kate Charter (29th, 20:21), Julie Charter (59th, 21:27), Grace Thanasack (69th, 22:07), and Iris Ardrey (85th, 23:06).
Historic Milestones:
Zang becomes the first TV girl to win an Individual District Championship.
Zang, Galinger, and Keplar earned 1st Team Central District Honors, tying the school record.
The team set a new school record for fastest 1-5 average time (19:26).
Back-to-back regional qualifications for the first time in school history.
Regional Meet Details:
The Teays Valley girls cross country team will compete in the regional meet on Saturday, October 26th, at 2:45 PM at Pickerington North.
