The Teays Valley Vikings cross country team boldly declared their presence in the new conference, securing a second-place finish behind powerhouse Lancaster Golden Gales, the state's second-ranked team.
History Made: Katy Zang's Championship Win:
Katy Zang shattered records again, becoming the first Teays Valley athlete to capture an OCC Cross Country Championship title. Her dominating performance saw her lead from start to finish, and she crossed the finish line in 17:14.
Viking Standouts Shine:
Reese Galinger broke through Lancaster's talented pack, securing fourth place at 19:15. Addie Keplar finished strong in 12th (20:25). Kate Charter achieved a personal best with a 20:50 finish, placing 14th.
Depth and Resilience:
Iris Ardrey (22nd, 22:06) and freshman Julie Charter (23rd, 22:13). Grace Thanasack, in her return race back, finished 34th (23:07).
OCC Honors:
